The only new game I played on a non-portable console was Tales of Graces f, in an entire year. And that, wow. I don't know what to do with myself anymore. I would have liked to deal with my games this year but I guess I decided that I had to accept my way of wanting to play the same stuff over and over again.

What I did play:
Most of Summon Night 1
Cooking Mama 2
Probably Tales of Rebirth
Radiant Mythology 2
Yumeiro Patissiere DS
Princess Maker 4
Harvest Moon Futago no Mura
Legend of Mana...Legend of Mana? seriously? oh fuck me
idolm@ster Perfect Sun
a unnamed music game involving mermaids
Star Ocean 1
Atelier Lina
Rayearth Saturn game (/_u)
Tales of Vesperia
Tales of Destiny Remake DC was in here somewhere
Tales of Symphonia
Ragnarok Online
Koikoi and that freaking unicorn game, at about the same time
Tales of Graces f
K-ON Houkago Live
Tokimeki Memorial GS 3

To my credit, I spent more time reading and more time cooking. When I felt like a new game, I picked some of the newest I could get. There's just umm, this problem with a few old PSX games and a lot of ADV-kinda romance games. This year I discovered a marked preference for simulation games!

If I had to give my favorite this year, it would be Harvest Moon Futago no Mura. This is a solid, beautiful, fun game. Grow tea, raise flowers, make pickles. It was fun as hell and just writing about it now makes me want to play some more. Everybody should play it.

I do recommend it over Tales of Graces f. Graces was an extremely diverting game, but it has that terrible history. And I thought the dialogue this time was embarassingly bad.
