I used the magic wand to select all the black lines, copied and pasted those to another layer, and then put the color on layers underneath that. This is easier than it sounds because the black lines basically all connect together, except for a few extra ones, and it leaves no white behind the block to rest of the colors. So no multiply yet, but I do intend to use that when it's time to start adding shadows and crap.
