The doc is prolly just trying to see if you would be better without the stuff. Seems though that the security it gives you is worth more though (I know that feeling, it's why I am on antiacid tablets everyday, even though my stomach should be fine).
But yar... have you seen any of Rondo Robe's (I think that's the right name) stuff? lain, texhnolyze, haibane, and a couple of others are made by him. Prolly not a good series to watch when you are feeling down, but while there is nothing like a happy ending to those series, it still made me feel happier. Still, the guy makes pretty depressing series, and is rather fond of playing with peoples minds (texh is driving me insane).
