To condense all the carrying on I had before I wised up and nuked it all, I still hate Megatokyo, and I wish Fred would stop being Piro so we could get on with loving Piro.
Shoujo manga is a noble, fucking beautiful extension of idea towards the thought of having an equal partner. Though nowadays it seems to be defined as just whatever's romantic and fluffy, the truly good stuff shows girls in love with and equal to someone else---which explains all the lesbians careening around. Of course, after all the idealizing about equality, I'm feeling bleak about men in general. For now I'm just going to have to eat flan and trust that whatever I come across someday acknowledges that I am human.
