Thought processes

So Azumanga Daioh has convinced me that it's time to slowly start letting go of my thing about not caring about cats. I have this thing about not absolutely loving kitties, even though I think they're excruciatingly cute. It's related to my fears of being a starving artist, my envy of CLAMP, and my absolutely undeniable instinct to buy bunny ears when everyone else is getting kitty ears. So it's pretty strong there. Azumanga Daioh, like I said, is sort of influencing me. I'm thinking about getting rid of this for just a little while and liking kitties. Just a little while.

Anyways, with this beautiful timing, my Aunt went to the art deco exhibit at the Museum of Fine Art (in Boston) and, with my mom's encouragement, brought me back a big, fat, hardcover photo collection called "Cats in Love" as a little present.

She could have also seen the "come to the dark side, we've got kitties" icon I was making. In fact, I showed it to her. But the pictures are what came to mind first.
