(no subject)

I have signed up for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (level 2). So now it's time for me to study like a mofo so I can learn to USE all those kanji. I think I'll let that be what keeps me busy during the day, because the idea of Just Video Games all year can even give me a touch of the old DESPAIR. (And then making a webcomic or something scary like that will come later.) Anybody feel like giving me advice on what kind of study books to get? I'm thinking something from this kanzen master series, a couple of old versions of the test for practice, and maybe something that focuses on the kanji. ...depends on how guilty I feel making my family spend lots of money on expensive books.

Now that I'm signed up, it means I'm going to New York City in December. I'm going on VACATION! New clothes! Airplane (I like airplanes and airports a lot)! Shopping! Pretty Christmas displays! Roasted chestnuts on the street and pumpkin flan at Menchanko and REAL LIVE WAGASHI at Minamoto Kitchoan! RAAAR.
