After having consumed a bunch of things from Minamoto Kitchoan, I've found some favorites:
5th Avenue Cake
White bean paste tart with a chocolate crust. It was good in a way I forgot things could be good.
Shirayuki Shigure
More chocolate with white and red beans. Complete with a little green youkan leaf to make it look like a peach! (Maybe. Don't ask me.)
Kurikissho
Fluffy chestnut paste roll with red bean something on the outside.
Tsuyaguri, kamakuranone, hanatsubomi, and kurihouraku were all underwhelming. Next year I'll get some namagashi or something in a box. (Next YEAR?! NO I DUN WANNA WAIT THAT LONG! T_T) Tokoyo (candied yuzu peel) scared me, but it was wonderful with tea.
And then I had oden for dinner. Well, it wasn't dazzling, but I've been interested in making it for a while and it was fun. I liked the potatoes best. (I like potatoes with my white rice. DOWN WITH THE ATKINS DIET.)
EDIT: Hey, Runan.
