Made and ate: Japanese cabbage rolls (stuffed with fried tofu, carrots, shiitake, and FIDDLEHEADS), breaded chicken fillets (the quick and dirty way, frozen), broccoli with sesame dressing (ブロッコリのごま和え, OUTSTANDING yum yum yum), and white miso soup with daikon. I did not use a menu somebody else made up this time, and I think it had a decent balance of, you know, stuff. The frozen chicken especially was put to good use. And the soup tasted almost exactly the way I want it---next time I think all I need to do is add less miso.
