(no subject)

kytyngurl2, I am so sorry. ;_; I'm so sorry I was so short with you on the phone and then I never called you back! The last time you called me it was during the Fullmetal Alchemist movie, and I was sick. I was sick all weekend, actually. I think it was my delicate delicate nerves. And then I was busy, because it's a con after all, but I'm so sorry, it's not your fault, and if we could meet again some other time when I am less frazzled, I'd love it.

I just hope you had some fun without me. I mean, I know I'm not the center of everybody's fun, but if you had any hopes pinned on me, I think I really keeled them. ;_;

So, I'm back from the con. I have to say it's a fine line between fun and exhaustion, and I'm still collecting my thoughts. The number one most annoying thing the way the con schedule got moved around, specifically, the way I had a scare on Friday night when Rose said she'd just gotten out of the Fullmetal Alchemist movie. I thought they'd moved it to Friday night and I'd MISSED it. I was really looking forward to seeing it, and meeting vagrancy and it was great when I finally did, even though I got sick and had to leave for part of it. ;_; (That sucked, I was afraid they weren't going to let me back in and sad about missing the movie.)

Also annoying were the crowds. Apparently there were some baseball games with the Yankees in town that weekend? And there were a lot of fans in town to see it. Which means my main comment here is DAMN YANKEES with their crankyass t-shirts yukking it up in MY SPOT at the Cheesecake Factory! To wit, getting food to eat on our own was kind of a battle, but we did it, so I guess we're closer to being grownups now.

Third most annoying thing was the dealer's room, which was full of things I don't really need, not that it stopped me from buying a LOT of things. That I'm nervous about now. Well, I live in an ebay world, I can always sell my crap if I get sick of looking at it.

I said I wouldn't regret buying Wedding Peach, but that was before I knew it was like Sailormoon without the fun.

Can somebody help me get either a version of AIM that won't annoy the hell out of me (you know, the special kind that takes out all the ads and crap they put on it), or directions for how to install an Ethernet card?

EDIT: More annoyances after prompting from runan's journal: yaoi fangirls carrying those paddles. It makes me want to a. cower and b. to start yapping in Japanese to prove my superiority, which is something I've been TRYING not to do for a long time now.

Number 5 was not enough good choices for convention badges. They really needed a Fullmetal Alchemist badge. (I picked Kono Minikukumo Utsukushii Sekai.)
