(22:39:47) Olive: we will have to have
(22:39:50) Olive: five meals a day
(22:39:55) Olive: there is no other choice
(22:40:01) Robin: IF WE MUST. OH DEAR. HOW AWFUL.
(22:40:05) Robin: >:DDDDD
(22:40:43) Olive: I swear I will eat nothing but lettuce for a week afterwards if only some higher power will grant me an abnormally huge stomach and appetite for this one week
The old Japan entry
Clearly there will be a heavy food bent to this trip. Start figuring out what and where you want to eat now. Also figure out what you want to see and buy. I personally don't plan to "sightsee" as much as I plan to "eat" and "spend money like water on fannish things".
I still want to see:
Tsukiji fish market
IDEALLY, a Takarazuka performance
Akihabara, specifically whatever and maybe a maid cafe
A quick turn around Jinbouchou
Hachiko/109/Shibuya in general
Tokyu Hands
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1
Takeshita doori
Ueno park, specifically Shinobazu no ike and Bentendou
Ikebukuro, specifically Milky Way Cafe Terrace, Ice Cream City, and Otome Road
ADDED: Nakamise-doori
My guidebook says Isetan caters for larger frames, Daimaru's site says there's a section for larger sizes, and Keio has a "Lilac" range of clothing in larger sizes.
