Watching: I started watching Mai Otome a couple weeks ago and stopped at episode 11, or thereabouts.
Watching Mai Otome. This is an indescribably complicated phenomenon for me, by which I mean I think it's really excellent that the girls transform into mechanical battlesuits controlled by earrings that beep a countdown into their ears before special attacks, but why why
why did I have to see Nina being tickle-molested under her school swimsuit by water tentacles? Why? I do mean to go back to this show. I get a better sense of this series when I watch the anime---the exploitation seems less dire (so far), the theme of girls being high-tech old-fashioned knights is more visible, and that one battle theme is wicked awesome, but I really don't want any more orz episodes, thanks.
Playing: I started playing Angelique Etoile again---I have to get my save files all together for the new computer. Yes. It's so fun that I ordered the PS2 version, and I think I am allowed now because it was no more than $25 total and I got the PC game like eons ago. There's nothing new here, but. In Francis' animated ending, there is a shot of the moon...
with a star next to it. Dear god, Himeboshi is in the Cosmos of the Holy Beast.
Eating: There's this tofu pudding at the Japanese supermarket and---my god, it tastes like coconuts or almonds, and it's creamy. And it comes in little cups! And it's actually beautiful. I can't leave it alone---I would eat it every day if I could just buy enough. Continuing with the tofu thing, I'm researching making tofu ice cream at home. My family has an ice cream maker, but for my first attempt I'll just skip that and stir the ice cream once in a while.
Drawing: Yesterday in the car I drew pretty pictures of Angelique and Rosalia. C'MON, KOEI! YOU MAKE 'EM LOOK SO UGLY IN THE OLD GAME!
P.S. Sorry about two entries in one day, but I know there are people who need to see Purippurin Exercise.
