While I think it's nice to talk about remedies...okay, I lied. I think home remedies range from the inane to the dangerous (unless they are delicious food, and only delicious food), and I think it's just skeevy to ask people, particularly the young ones on LJ, to pass them around when we're facing a pandemic of a disease that kills said young with cytokine storms. Yeah, let's remedy that away! (Note: the remedy for the flu this year is to put the herbal tea down and see the motherfucking doctor.)
1. OTC drugs, particularly sudafed but occasionally tylenol
2. Buttloads of plain water
3. For a VERY painful sore throat, honey dissolved in lukewarm peppermint or chamomile tea
4. A box of tissues strapped to my shoulders for a daring fashion statement and chapstick for my poor schnozz <---weapons against running nose
5. Chicken soup and rice (like the book)
6. A bath that smells like candy in a clean bathtub
That's it. I'm tired and I have to make another entry still ORZ
