Or, now I see why everyone likes MMORPGs, it's because everything you do in there feels important and fun, and then when you get out and talk about it it's the BEST IN-JOKE EVER!
Last night I got on L2 and promptly went out to try and make some money. Instead, I got mobbed by 4 or 5 goblins and had to run away (HAHA SO STUPID ;_;). While I was running away, I happened to streak past this dwarf guy, and lo and behold, he started whacking at the goblins with me! Then I died. And I left behind the new pair of pants I had my dwarf girl wearing. I went back to the same spot, mostly worried the guy got killed, too, and how I was going to apologize PROFUSELY for the first time in Japanese, only to find absolutely nothing there. The old son-of-a-bitch STOLE MY PANTS. :O (It's even worse in Japanese. Pantsu equals underwear. THE OLD DWARF GUY STOLE MY LOLITA DWARF GIRL UNDERWEAR OMG I AM SAD TT_TT)
After that I got scared and decided to wait until I got ahold of Lindsay. I teleported to Gludin, waited a LONG TIME for her to get there because I didn't have a map and I was really afraid of getting lost XD And then we both tromped ALL THE WAY BACK to the Elf village. And let me tell ya! ...oh, well, you get the idea.
I eventually ended up talking to someone in Japanese because at the Dark Elf village, I got stuck in this crack around one of the bridges. Right between the ground and the actual bridge...and I think it happened because I was a dwarf and little ;_; OH WOE IS ME! (OMG now I know how Ed feels!!1) And using the arrow keys didn't work! It just so happened at about the same time I got stuck, GM #17 was there and I would have felt bad if I didn't say nothing...I am a geek because I'm fussing about talking in Japanese. And did okay. I am still fluent. I sound natural enough, just a little old-fashioned/stupeed, and I don't respond as fast because I'm not used to typing in Japanese. Eventually they teleported me out, yay.
...and after THAT disaster, Lindsay got attacked by some thing that never attacked her before, and while we were running away, I had a giant fucking spider actually come after me. ...really, I've never done this before, so it just felt totally classic. Poor cute little dwarf me running away from this big motherfucker spider and going OMGWTFBBQ WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS. That was adorable. Some random person healed me and I thought it was Lindsay, and I never got to say thanks. ^^* ...it actually could have gotten worse, since I happened to go tearing into those dryads that have been kicking Lindsay's ass lately, but they didn't attack me...and then we got to the Elf village okay.
I spent a lot of time commenting on the pretty scenery and communing with nature and shit like that on the way there, but the actual village was like, GEE. Just put a whole bunch of pretty things I like ALL TOGETHER ALL AT ONCE. I actually had to stop and stare when it switched to night while I was out by their "world tree" (Yggdrasil?). Sparklies in the air and stuff. I thought to myself, wow, this is the perfect fantasy setup for first kisses and such. (Then I asked Lindsay if I could kill that there Pixie over thar. Hahaha fighter hit things.)
Last funny thing that happened that I remember is meeting up with Kithal and using the big/happy greeting emotion because it was more or less my dwarf chick squealing over Kithal's OMFGHOTT human mage.
One of my ears is blocked up. Worries me a little bit, since my stuffy nose went away.
