A majority of the stuff I draw isn't stuff I'd want to color, anyway, so don't worry. ^^ I'm...not sure how I convey tone. I think it's all the talking...but then you could just be looking at the pictures and ignoring that, couldn't you? XD (That might be smart...)
It might be the poses. I'm a perfectionist/masochist/idiot who won't look in a mirror or get a model or take a damn class, and I'll retry drawing limbs or bodies that don't look right however many times it takes. Usually the first four are just about figuring out what "right" is...and I've only recently learned to start with the new paper when I get like that. =_=
