You know how, in Sailormoon, there's a crystal or mirror or talisman to be stolen from someone in just about every episode? The parts that show the whatever being taken frequently...vaguely resemble rape, especially in the fourth season. You know, with the gay...no...transves---no...transsexual villains? (Maybe you don't know.) The episode that inspired this oh-so-coherent entry is actually from that season. Our villain, Fish Eye, picks out an elementary-school boy (...) to be the target (which means going to a gay bar and looking at photos of people with his buddies, dot dot dot), tries to chat him up by carrying on about, um, soccer players' beautiful LOINS (!). He eventually restrains the poor kid (!!) and looks at (INTO) his secrets without consent (!!!). Well, his dream mirror, but you get the idea. Occasional shota love aside, it kind of gave me the willies. And there's more, too. (Just about anytime someone goes after Urawa, for example.)

You just don't NOTICE these things when you're 13. (Or, also likely, I'm just not that fast on the uptake.)
