(no subject)

Dinner:

Broiled salmon
Takuwan
Asari gohan (bamboo shoots, carrot, mushrooms, and baby clams, abura-age)
Miso soup with wakame and tofu
Frozen Japanese vegetables (carrots, green beans, burdock root, satoimo, lotus root, mushrooms, bamboo shoots)
Kabocha no umani (simmered kabocha)

...so there are some repeat ingredients. SO WHAT? It was gooooooooood. All that different food, and it was mostly vegetables so I could eat a lot. And I MADE about half of it. >:D

EDIT: Have you ever, in L2.

Met a person who wants to quit the game.

Who doesn't know what to do with their STUFF.

Heh, there's a lot of stuff there I've never heard of, let alone eaten. Good for you!

My cooking skills involve frozen pizzas.

...Aaaand that's pretty much it.

*drool*

Come to Pittsburgh and cook for me.

[identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com 2005-11-14 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
Frozen vegetables just go in boiling water for a few minutes, the asari gohan stuff came from a package (you just put it in a rice cooker with your own rice and water), mom made the salmon and most of the kabocha no umani, and the takuwan came from the store. Oh, the dashi I used in the miso was instant, too.

Really, I don't have any cooking skills, either, I just have a powerful motivation to eat. I reeeeeaaally wanted that kabocha.

I'll have to bring my mom. And all my fancy Japanese ingredients.

^-^ I AM GOOD. Now if only I could pass the JLPT 1...

I still drool for that one meal where she steamed us some shumai and we cut all the beef and there weas udon and onigiri.

Why do I bring these things up? *hunts cabinet for anything but pasta*

Did you get something nice? Anything good for an archer? :P

today we talked about food..

[identity profile] boogietiere.livejournal.com 2005-11-14 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Baaaaaaaaaby clams!! How cute and.. white and slimy, next time take some pictures, then maybe someone will sob over their deaths over at BA =w=

I noticed you had deep-fried tofu, is that something you would recommend as an addition to a spicy rice meal? Salmon, miso-soup and vegetables should also be obtainable for me, so if i'd try i could probably copy 20% of your dinner already. Only.. sans pumpkin, lotus root and all the flashy instant packages bought from specialized food stores :< I admit, in the end your food wins.

Nothing specifically good for archers, though anybody could use the money, sell the tattoos, and have a fashion show with the armor...

[identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com 2005-11-14 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
That was awesome. I tried to make that thing with the beef again but we couldn't get no burdock root. ;_;

They weren't very white or slimy, actually, they were a bit green and grey...okay, that's not important, yes, I hope one of those loonies goes AWWW BABY CLAMS :((((((((((((((

Abura-age, like the tofu...pocket stuff? Goes well with rice. It's the wrapper for inari-zushi and the kitsune in kitsune-udon. It tastes sweet, which is I guess something to get used to in salty food ha ha. But I like it all right.

My food wins...with PACKAGES. Maybe I should feel some remorse for the old way.

...Man, and I thought getting randa-buffed was lucky. o.O

(...Any good tatoos?)

Although I have had someone run up to me, drop their armor, weapon and a bunch of crap, and then run off, presumably indicating that the goods are mine...but it was mostly D-Grade.

[identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com 2005-11-15 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Well, yeah, good tattoos for spellcasters, for wisdom and intelligence. I don't need them, so I may sell them off and trade them, but my armor collection is filling out and I might not have to...

I think the trick is to run around naked and/or act like a noob. I already do the second one whether I want to or not, and the first one is fun SOOOO. Gives people the fantasy of bringing some poor dwarf child from rags to riches!! (Especially in the dwarf starter village :P)
