Oooh, I had that thing with the ear myself once. Turned out it was pretty harmless, there had just been some ... crap in my ear that needed to be rinsed by a doctor. (WHICH WAS FUCKING AWFUL AND SCARY AND IT FELT LIKE THEY WERE SHOOTING THAT FUCKING WATER RIGHT INTO MY BRAIN AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH but anyways.)
