Made and ate: baked scrod, "jade" peas (jade = drenched in sugar water), boiled potatoes with a dashi sauce, french bread (well, uh, we bought it), tomato soup (...from a can). Foreigner trying to do Japanese trying to do foreign food?

Miyazaki's Nausicaa is on the Cartoon Network in half an hour. It's a classic. It's Good For You! So watch it if you spend your Saturday nights at home trying to read back issues of Asuka. =_=
