Yeah, I recall seeing quite an uproar about it. People were complaining that the emulated version of FF Tactics loads better than the actual port. ^^;
Have you seen Noein, incidentally? It has some really interesting concepts about parallel worlds (and there's a dystopian sort of maybe-future, too) and while it gets pretty dramatic in the later episodes, I thought the development for even the side characters was very good.
Okay uh /tangent ^^;
I'm actually still mad at the author for the business with Ling but I don't find it all that depressing? Maybe it's just the few chapters I've been reading. They're in a very difficult situation but haven't given up, and in a way it lets us see their brilliant tactics. :) (Seriously there's a scene in 74 where I was amazed by Roy and Hawkeye keeping calm in the face of stress and for having so much trust and understanding of each other.)
But at the same time, yeah it's pretty serious and I can understand why you'd stop reading. I quit playing Tales of Destiny at a certain point myself. XD; What pushes me over the line is maybe a bit different from what is too much for you, but I definitely understand where you're coming from. ;)
