I was also comparing Patty's design with previous characters to see if it was a shop.. but on the other hand, Asvel's design is unmistakably new and unmistakably Inomata, and why would you bother changing a real scan to edit in fake news if the real news is also exciting? Besides Tales of Versus was already announced on Tales Channel, so we know it exists.
...ANYWAY I think the theory is that Versus is Namco doing Dissidia.
