Dear future husband, and all my hapless friends,

I cleaned them all up, too, and put them in boxes.

Love, Robin.

The grand total of books makes the ones in the picture more like 2/5 of what I own, and that is still not counting those damn magazines. Amazingly, there are only like 10 I want to burn.

Remind me, now I want to take pictures of my bookcases! xD

*trying to identify your shoujo manga*

[identity profile] boogietiere.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a pretty amazing collection. It looks like your married already, to amazon that is.

I think I don't own so much of anything. Except for pokemon cards and stuffed toys maybe, but those have all been archived at a safe distance from my daily practices.

Wow, bookcases instead of plastic boxes? HOW GRAND T_T

NOPE! ^_____________________________^

or more appropriately TT_______________________TT

That went in the "upstairs, but not on the bookshelf" box.

I say lol, and I really did laugh, yanno. PICK IT OVER:

-there's a lot of Tanemura Arina
-a growing mix of Mochida Aki and Maki Youko
-the ±ジャンキー I recommended a while back
-a Mizusawa Megumi collection with a story about a girl who loves an idol (ガラスの向こうに花束を, and shut up, I like her stuff) umm
-ひみつの執事くん (鷲尾 美枝), purchased on a whim last time I went to Japan, solely for the cover (fujoshi alert)
-two collections of stories by a Kotobuki Raimu (who was doing a Radiant Mythology manga for Tales magazine last time I checked)
-two volumes of ONEX3 (read わんわんわん lol) by 雪 リコ, and this gets a special mention for me because it features an utterly beautiful western/white/BLONDE OMG guy who can't read kanji and gets all the best jokes and subtext, and the author did FMA doujinshi stuff sometimes >3>

There's also Card Captor Sakura, Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, Rayearth, and Renai Catalog is the thing with brown and white covers that's occupying the two piles on the lower right ._. THERE ARE 34 VOLUMES...

[identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, that's what you see, and Supernatural DVDs on top of the Azumanga Daioh >3>

[identity profile] catystorm.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I cannot LIVE if my books do not have a proper home stacked three and four deep.

Besides, I can't find things if I don't have them on shelves. I have two copies of FMA 14 to prove that.

[identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Snort. Amazon is just the dirty middleman who charges too much. My real husband is probably a Japanese publishing conglomerate, or whatever sort of beautiful creature they could provide to represent them in our unholy matrimony. Of books.

I don't think I've thrown away a book in all my life?

[identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh Dean, look what you're reading. (That's the one where he's full frontal.)

I got tired of having duplicates (I have at least 4 around here) so last time I went to Japan I made a point of sorting through everything, especially the series (cough Naruto) and making a list of what I wanted to buy. And sorting that. And then sorting my amazon.jp wishlist...

At this point I think if I put it all on shelves I'd need another room for my library. (LIBRARY)

[identity profile] catystorm.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I had a library! For a few months or so. Then I got a roommate and I had to find other places for my bookshelves. orz

[identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Now you have to make a secret underground lair.

[identity profile] catystorm.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
sa;dlfkjasf WHY DID I NOT THINK ABOUT THAT BEFORE.

I need minions now to construct this SEKRIT UNDERGROUND LIBRARYLAIR.

[identity profile] runan.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
...Ahaha...I have three entire LARGE bookcases stuffed full of books, and we're talking 3/4 rows deep. Then I have a pile of books and DVDs and crap next to my bed that I have no room for. And then I have an entire bookcase in the basment full of MORE books that I don't read enough to justify keeping up here. And THEN I have a big rubbermaid container filled with yet more books buried somewhere downstairs...oh, wait, and then there are the piles of books on the top shelf of my closet...

[identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com 2009-05-26 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Definitely use Ed. He might do it if you let him specify a flavor of popsicle.

[identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com 2009-05-27 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, those rubbermaid containers are the storage facility of choice >3> Too bad they hold way, way more books than a person should carry up a flight of stairs in one sitting. I've strained my back, AGAIN.

Oh, I just remembered this doesn't include my cookbook collection, which is just a touch bigger than the average collection...?
