Not to mention that the name for lolicon in the real world is much less cute than it is on the internet.
Honestly when I went to Japan I actually got depressed from all the anime stores. I like anime but I try to have a life outside of it as well! Monomania is never healthy and I'd be uncomfortable around a really crazy train otaku or sports otaku or someone who has a full-time job playing World of Warcraft as well.
