A couple weeks ago, I went to the beach. I was playing the new Harvest Moon game and I was enjoying it thoroughly. I thought I'd make a list for LJ of the things you get in each village, but I wasn't perfectly sure about what that list would be since the wiki wasn't built up enough and all I could do was look at 2ch. There was a lot of furious Harvest Moon playing, really for my own edification: "what do I have to do in this sorry craphouse to get a pickle maker?! Rar! etc."
Then I came home from the beach, played idolm@ster and Harvest Moon---where am I now? WHERE?! THE WORLD IS TRANSIENT AND EVER-CHANGING. MY LIFE IS AN ENDLESS PARADE OF PASSING FANCIES. No, not really.
My friend has a truly impressive collection of FMA doujinshi on her hard drive, and while sorting it recently she found and read one in particular that seems to have left an impression.
Roy sacrifices himself to save his subordinates and Ed in a war, and Ed, being his lover, picks up after him. He assumes the job of colonel in Roy's place and works on a change in regime. Catie was quite impressed with this, and she said she wanted to write fanfic about it because it was such a new way to stretch Ed. I disagreed, because holy crap, I just cut this for angst! It was not long after we started talking about it that I said, hey, Ed should have a tiny teenage Roy alchemist appear and start making his life confusing.
So far the best and the most correct portrayal of RIAN, also the first.
Rian reads a lot of comic books.
This came several days after the first picture, but you can see how quickly we've moved to inappropriate things like Rian with cat ears.

We are, uh, very sure that Rian and Ed will be having The Sex, but they just don't have the edge that Ed and Roy did so they also won't have quite the same possibility of experimenting with kinky stuff. Unless certain artists who think of themselves as Rian's big sisters forget their place. >3>
Hysterically, unfortunately, Rian's clothing bears a strong resemblance to that of certain Wild Arms characters. When I noticed this and told Catie, that led to another round of shrieking because DEAN IS AN RPG HERO LOLOLOLOL.
