Son of Madoka blather

Today I will post with impromptu translations made in AIM to heighten my own understanding! Augmented by someone's post where they wrote all this stuff down.

Cubay: Can I come in? I want to talk to you.
Madoka: You're alive. ...what Homura said, is that true?
Cubay: She made no mistakes that I would need to correct.
Madoka: Then you made everyone into magical girls to make them into witches?
Cubay: I don't want you to misunderstand. We have no ill will towards humanity. We do this to lengthen the life of the universe.
Cubay: Madoka, do you know the word entropy? To give an easy example, the heat energy that can be taken from a fire isn't equal to the energy required to raise a tree. When energy is tranformed, there are losses. All the energy in the entire universe decreases constantly.
Cubay: That's why we've been looking for an energy that is not bound by the laws of thermodynamics. And what we found was the magic of magical girls.
Madoka: What...are you?
Cubay: Our civilization developed technology to derive energy from the emotions of intelligent life forms. But unfortunately, we ourselves do not have emotions. And so we researched the various life forms of the universe, and came to you, humanity.

Me: the scene switches to a bunch of chairs. what the fuck?
Yang: musical chairs as entropy
Yang: lose a chair, someone loses
Me: I think they're witches or something
Me: they're all different
Me: the light is changing too
Yang: SEELE SOUND ONLY
Me: LAWL
Me: shut up he's still talking lol
Yang: ooh, there needs to be a smartphone interface where if you're doing only voice calls you see the SEELE slab/monolith thing
Yang: 01 SOUND ONLY
Yang: for speakerphone

Cubay: When you take into account the number of individual humans and their ability to reproduce, the emotional energy an individual produces is superior to that required to create new individuals, and for them to grow. Your souls can be a source of energy that completely overturns entropy.
Cubay: The phase transitions of hope and despair in females in the process of developing secondary sex characteristics are particularly efficient. Your souls become soul gems, and in the moments when those burn away and turn into grief seeds, you release an incredible amount of energy.
Cubay: As the incubators, it is our job to collect that energy.
Madoka: Are we...consumable? You want us to die for you?
Cubay: Do you know how many civilizations in this universe are jostling together? Do you know how much energy they consume every single second? Someday, you humans, too, will leave the earth and join us. When that happens, I don't suppose you'd want us giving you a dried up husk of a universe, would you? Think about the future. This transaction should be very beneficial to humans.
Madoka: Don't be stupid...Mami died, and all those horrible things happened to Sayaka because of this crap. This is WRONG, this is too awful!
Cubay: We do only make contracts with your consent. That alone should be benevolent enough...
Madoka: You TRICKED THEM ALL!
Cubay: We do not even comprehend the act of "tricking" someone.
Cubay: When humans regret mistakes in their judgement due to variations in cognizance, for some reason they feel hatred for others.
Madoka: I can't follow what you're saying...I can't make sense of it...
Cubay: We too struggle in understanding human values. There are currently 6.9 billion humans, and that increases at a rate of ten people every four seconds. Why do you you make such a fuss about the life and death of every single individual?
Madoka: So that's how you think. I knew it, you're an enemy to us.
Cubay: I really do think I've justified my actions. I just wanted you to understand what a wonderful thing your sacrifice creates, but I guess it isn't going to work.
Madoka: Obviously!
Cubay: Madoka, someday you will be the strongest magical girl...and the most evil witch ever. And when you do, we will gain an unprecedented amount of energy. When you're ready to die for the universe, talk to me...anytime. I'm waiting.

Sufficiently advanced technology blah blah magic!! My favorite kind of magical girl. How, er, wonderful (I am a terrible person) that the process of making energy from human souls would produce magical girls with cute/pretty clothes and rocks. The weapons tend to be pretty rugged, though. Are we making a statement about femininity being in the soul? Is it the secondary sexual characteristics still in development? Facial hair makes giant robots? Males don't have the right phase transitions because of privilege? Incubators like relatively rich societies because everyone is healthier and full of entitlement?

But more importantly, the universe of Madoka is not officially religious. There are aliens, and they act like Mephistopheles and the devil in Faust, but that's it. They're not saying their universe has a heaven and a hell (or Christianity). うーん、すてきぃ♥ 現代の魔法少女の脱構築にふさわしいシナリオ♥ Evangelion we are not (yet). I'm hoping it's not too late for a different, truly benevolent being to help the innocents in the end. B-because then people could be magical girls without the terrible consequences, OR AT LEAST they could live their lives putting on ten pieces of makeup in every morning without being harvested as energy for crazyass aliens.

I'm not someone who hates Madoka (because I don't want to eat my words when she finally does something cool) but why did she just sort of make an excuse and run off in the last episode after Homura killed Kyuubey right before her eyes? While Homura broke down and started sobbing right in front of her? For that matter, why didn't Homura follow her? Is this significant?

EDIT: My translation is better >3>
