It could be worse. You could be looking into your own flock of sheep. That was how a friend of mine got into spinning. It all started with raising border collies. It ended with a small business in wool yarn and thread dyed with period techniques. A loom isn't that bad. *thinks* You could start with a hand loom for trim and ribbon, see if that breaks the obsession.
