RO is KEELING me, but that doesn't mean I can't at least slap up some more Shinshi Doumei pictures. Summary included, and I didn't even MEAN to do that. (I just started typing and then there it was ^^*)

This month's furoku included a daily planner schedule-whatever: the front, a page from the inside, and the back.

Haine's teacher, Miruko (the queen of cute)
Haine's creamy dreamy postman bitch guy
Maora angsting over Maguri
Haine and Touya, because Touya is really pretty
Haine's evil (sexy, evil) daddy
Shizumasa looking all-powerful and stuff

In this chapter, Haine and her class are all taking a field trip to some place near the shore. In the last chapter, facts about Haine's past were leaked to the school newspaper. Here, Shizumasa orders the Gedou to step in, and we find out that this group is actually a branch of the student council that takes care of all the dirty work that would otherwise tarnish the reputation of the student council. Haine is shocked, thinking that Shizumasa is truly corrupt, and she comes down hard on him, but later on she learns that he did it for her sake---he ordered the Gedou to steal back the disk from the newspaper. Later on, she learned that she'd made a mistake, but by then it was too late, and they haven't talked since.

On the bus on the way to...wherever they're going on this fieldtrip, Haine gets a letter from Touya telling Haine that there's a certain time when Shizumasa will be alone that day---a perfect time to apologize. Not wanting to hurt Ushio's feelings, Haine makes up the funiest excuse about needing to go to the bathroom that I have ever seen, and runs off to find Shizumasa.

When she finds him, there is more hilarity as she pretends to happen upon Shizumasa while chasing Okorimakuri-kun. It's DEAD OBVIOUS that she's faking their chance meeting or whatever, but they sit down and talk anyway. Haine explains that was, indeed, adopted by her current family. Her real father, Kamiya, offered her to the Otomiya house when she was ten, saying that she could be their heir. Kamiya didn't want her, because they wanted a male heir, and she was female. Otomiya found himself unable to leave Haine with the Kamiya family---she had been listening when her real father made his offer, and he knew it would be impossible for her to trust her real family after that. Haine found a new home, but she knew she had been thrown away by her parents because she wasn't a boy.

After that, the Otomiya family actually had a son after Haine, so he became the heir, and Haine more or less felt like she lost her place to a boy, yet again. She dyed her hair, stayed out all night, picked fights, and generally lost herself, until she met Shizumasa. Shizumasa gave her something to work towards in her life, but she admits that she was left with an overpowering sensitivity towards the use of money to change things. She's sorry that she blamed Shizumasa, but she thinks he didn't have to use his money and power to help her.

The next day, Shizumasa goes straight out and announces that the Gedou will be disbanded as it is now. Now that they are no longer under Shizumasa's guidance or control, they decide to stage a coup d'etat. They go to challenge Shizumasa and take over, but in a somewhat unrealistic fighting scene, Haine stops them. The Gedou becomes a legitamate school club, the student discipline committee (...I think. Basically they tell other kids what to do. I am reminded a bit of Seifer at that garden in FF8.), and the members are normal students again. (Yukimitsu, the leader, loses his tan and turns very pretty, as we have already seen.)

Afterwards, Shizumasa and Haine happen to meet in the library (or is that something especially for the student council? ...I just cant tell =_=), and Shizumasa announces that...he's not gay. (Darn. Or shall I say, yeah right? =_=) More importantly, he tells Haine that it's okay that she's not a boy. Haine says that she doesn't mind that anymore, but she starts crying. She's overjoyed to finally have someone who's not worried about her gender, but more importantly, that means Shizumasa wouldn't mind if she pretended to be his girlfriend! To make sure nobody else would hit on him, of course! :D Apparently being Shizumasa's girlfriend means being threatened and bullied, but since Haine's good at that kind of thing, she's all set. Shizumasa agrees, and so while Haine's just a pretend girlfriend, she's a girlfriend, and she's very happy.

Side note: This summary didn't include some side action with Maguri and Maora. Maguri actually is in love with Shizumasa, and Maora is (probably) in love with Maguri, or possibly Shizumasa, as well.

Also, Ushio was apparently listening to Haine and Shizumasa talking on the fieldtrip, so something's bound to happen with her sooner or later.

Another month. *sighs and sparkles* This series is turning out to have a lot to do with gender. It's interesting, if only because it's been pretty gay so far :D

EDIT:

1. Touya makes a point of saying that Shizumasa needs Haine. Why he looks so serious is beyond me (I expect that to be developed later on), but he does sound like he means it.

2. Shizumasa pats Haine on the head, and almost puts his hand on her shoulder to hug her in this chapter. So nobody be afraid that he's not interested in her PLZKTHX.

I'm kinda...eh...about the whole Shizumasa/Haine thing. I dunno, somehow it just doesn't seem to have the appeal of Chiaki/Marron.

...Or maybe that's just my kaitou fetish popping up.

Oh well, as long as no guy is "cured" of his gayness in this series in order to hook up with a girl, it ought to be interesting.

That's because Chiaki/Marron was KYOOT. Whoa. Omigod. Shizumasa/Haine hasn't had as much time to develop, either.
