I told mom about the SixApart thing and she said I might want to save my journal entries for the future. Part of this is worry that something will happen to them, and part of it is just love of words and desire to save them. (She probably wants to convince me to let her read them someday.) This is very high-minded for a diary where I mostly talk about gay sex, but let's just forget that for a minute. Is the worry valid, and is there any easy way to save this stuff?

My books are here, so nobody can ask me to do anything except read right now. (And maybe play some L2.)

Yup, you can download them as an XML file (I think there's another option too..) at http://www.livejournal.com/export.bml .
No clue whether it is or will be a valid worry, but you may want to check back on those notes of gay sex in a decade.

Yeah, so it seems like a good idea. I'll download them. :3
