...I just made a bunch of comments that prove that I shouldn't be commenting first thing in the morning. X_X Totally random motherfuckerness.
Raquel may to turn out to be some kind of undead/wandering soul. I mean, she woke up under a house in a place where everybody was supposed to have died. (Note: I wonder if this is where the superbomb that ended the war was used. If there was one. Let's not talk about Hiroshima here.) On the subject of who knows about it: Raquel might not, she's just aware of wanting to go out and draw stuff. Arnaud might because he held her hand in that scene where they were running away from the other dimension (and I sighed). Also, he's smart and stuff, he could figure it out.
My Firstguide booklet here says that Arnaud's image started as "male hostess." SNORT.
I keep seeing Arnaud x Jude stuff and it drives me nuts.
Like any game, this one has to have lots of morals and speeches, but these ones are SO GOOD. Well, I find them easier to take than Lloyd's sermons in Tales of Symphonia. The idea that there really is no one kind of justice is so delicious, and I actually find myself agreeing with some of it. I was a little leery about the "growing up" theme, but seeing as it actually applies to the girls, too, now I'm all for it.
Writing what I wrote about Raquel, though, I'm wondering if this game is going to turn into some kind of muttering about WWII. Ever since I read about some guy whining that Yasukuni shrine is so poor and sad and ignored in the New York Times, I've been a little reactive to that kinda stuff.
EDIT:
This guy that keeps running into our heroes and making speeches and stuff? Yeah, you, the burly one. I didn't even bother to remember his name right because he's SO going to turn out to be a bad guy. Come on. Also, Jude's dad is that war criminal that everybody's looking for. I can't decide if he's hot or not.
I was really disappointed when Raquel didn't take off her clothes for Arnaud. I like them together, maybe more than I like Yulie and Jude together. Arnaud's illusionary artiste girlfriend. (What?)
It might be theraputic for Raquel to draw ugly stuff, too. Poor ol' Filgaia.
