Yang: Yes, and you didn't go to snooty French inn.
Yang: Like a good little proletariat

In fact, I was also scheduled to visit Harney and Sons's Tea Room, which is only an hour away from my grandma's house, but I skipped that, too. Did I mention I love my grandmother? I stayed home (at her house) in my teeny customary room and slept for like three hours and it was really, really nice.

I magically misplaced my J-E dictionary somewhere on this trip, the one I like, so I'm hoping it will magically turn up now that I'm home and things are coming out of the car. I'm pretty sure that's where I lost it.

To summarize, I am alive and sort of well, I found the name of this Indian dessert I had years ago and pined after, I ate a lot of food, my grandma spoiled me and my stuffed baby harp seal, and I am home.

Umm. Um, oh yes, I was going to talk about Soshite Koi ga Hajimaru.

This is not good. I am really liking this book. I am spoiling myself with this portrayal of wonderful normalish people that I understand and identify with. People are not this wonderful in the real world and the real world does not give these people wonderful lives. No no no. I am in denial. Totally. And...and I still kind of don't like what they're saying about girls. Kind of. It's complicated.

My mother got her hair cut and she looks like a Japanese housewife.

EDIT: Oh, and I ordered the new Roy and Ed plushies. Yes. Yes, shut up. They're mine now.
