I still have my wisdom teeth. And aboouuuuuut once a month, they kind of shift around and hurt me a bit, usually only for a day or two. Something gets chomped on or something gets moved over an imperceptible amount, and sometimes it hurts or feels tender.
For several days now, this one spot where a tooth seems to be about to break through the gums, in the back of the mouth, has been swollen and crappy and hurty. The tooth above it is biting down on it. I can't bite down completely without it hurting enough for me to want to stop. And sometimes the place where my jaw hinges hurts. And sometimes my head hurts. And sometimes the teeth on the other side of my mouth hurts. The geography, as far as I can tell, has changed slightly. The place where a tooth spike used to come through has turned in a fissure in the gums. Not bleeding, but ow? I just want to say, it hurts and it's annoying, and I'm due to get my wisdom teeth out any second now.
EDIT: Okay, we have Vicodin in the house from when my mom had shingles last summer, and most of the pain is resolving itself into a migraine, or some kind of headache in my forehead, so instead I'm going to talk about my win and losses today.
LOSS: Candied fruit bought at Super 88. The "young coconut" tasted a LOT like durian, which I'd had earlier today and not particularly liked. For those of you who don't know, durian is a big spiny sonofabitch fruit that smells like onions and tastes like coconuts. No shit. I also bought candied sweet potatoes and water chestnuts, but instead of being sweet and potato-ey, they tasted like ginger and not very sweet. Bzzzzt.
WIN: Chili chocolate pecans, sizzling scallops in a wonderful pepper sauce and duck at Ocean Wealth, superior sponge cake bricks from a Chinatown bakery.
超びくとりぃ: Edward Elric figure, shirtless. Also, candied chestnuts from Europe. These were presents from Olive and Yang. YOU GUYS ARE THE KEWLEST. ♥♥♥♥♥♥

..I wonder if after a few generations, no people will grow wisdom teeth... aha, for once, I'm ahead of the game ;)
(as for durian.. it *tastes* good.. well, from what I remember, but it's just the smell that's.. absolutely... positively overwhelming.. and.. not in a good way :P ..there's another fruit I really want to try, though.. it's supposedly a cross between a strawberry and another fruit(grape, maybe?), and illegal to import into the US..)

I didn't know they had those here, where do you shop?
(there was this wonderful "chain" of Asian hypermarkets in and around Paris with everything you could ever dream of.. this is where I first encountered durians.. I've never had the fresh fruit, but I ended up having a bit of it dried.. the smell is.. a cross between onions and eggs for me, I think..)
