I'm kind of unsure about it happening, too. I read somewhere that the Pentagon thinks a paid army of people who signed up of their own will is more effective than a bunch of draftees, even if it IS smaller or more expensive. That was very comforting because, well, money does seem to trump all, doesn't it? =_= ...but that was months and months ago when I first heard about them reinstating the draft. Seeing news of it again made me think OMG THEY CHANGED THEIR MINDS I AM DOOMED!!! and I don't really have to, do I? =_= So don't feel bad, I'm kinda sorry I reacted so strongly ^^*
It's probably not worth it for me to worry about, anyway---there's just too many people (adults, even) who would go absolutely *bugshit* at the idea of another draft. Vietnam and all that stuff. There's a memorial in Washington, D.C. for a reason.
