My inability to decide what I want for my birthday and mopeyness at not being a teenager anymore resolved themselves into my usual monthly insanity. At about the same time, I received jewelry, a cheesecake, Indian food, and a beautiful book of Japan's scenery. Continuing my rehabilitation, today I dug out the three Beatrix Potter books I could find and reread them. I highly recommend Tom Kitten, and make sure to look at the pictures, dammit.
Now I have a bunch of money (mostly saved from Christmas) and I'm thinking I want lots of trashy fantasy novels and games from Japan, but also I'm worried that this isn't a good way to spend my money. I have so much of that stuff already. Maybe I need to put some into clothes? Or soap? I would kind of like some soap, but I actually don't use it very much, errr... ~_~
Okay, this is where I come out and say, Tales of Legendia was actually kind of hard on me. I realized that while I was playing Tales of the Abyss that there were parts that really grated on me and/or bored me. But that came from my ridiculous personal reasons! Don't forget that the the game is very funny and it IS good entertainment. Long story short, if you have a PS2/money/interest in RPGs, buy Tales of Legendia. It just came out in the US and it should be easy to find right now. If you do, then the game has a better chance of making money, and then Tales of the Abyss has a better chance of coming to the US.
...so I am promoting one game for the sake of its beautiful younger sibling. I'm sorry. If there's one game I really think people should play, it's Tales of the Abyss. It's Just That Good. But Legendia was okay, too.
Other things that happened around my birthday: Nico Robin's birthday. (Anybody else read One Piece? I've read some recent chapters helping with some translations) It sort of creeps me out.
