I'm so disappointed in myself.

I had a nice celebratory lunch at an Indian restaurant today with Yang. He was celebrating good grades, I was celebrating a good score, there was a buffet, and I totally ate too much. Burp. There was talk of playing PC RPGs co-op, and of me watching Noir.

Also, I started watching Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha a day or two ago and unfortunately so far all it's done is prove what a gullible young lady I am. The angst is cheap and little girls are being pictured as beautiful tragic creatures who act about 25234674360986 years older than they really are---oh, and let's talk about the panty shots. On a 9-year-old. But how am I supposed to help myself? I spent a certain part of my life being a little girl, and this is probably why this show is totally kicking my ass. If you will allow whatever soft spot you have to be exploited (you have to deal with the naked third grader, sorry), this show is a nice cheap thrill. ...or it will make you think you're crazy. Whatever.

I liked Nanoha until I hit the panty shots. Then I wanted to kill all the damn otaku in the world (including myself, perhaps). What the hell! *steaming fury*

I know. It's...it's really just a shame. I think it's what could have happened with Card Captor Sakura if CLAMP hadn't engineered the whole series to be stronger, faster, cuter and chaste...-er than all the competition.
