Answer: Decide it's not your fault their explanation is opaque, because it's in writing, and possibly because it's in Japanese, and make up your own.

Yep, it is. There was an advertising campaign for whatever type of toothpaste that is (there was a series of them, I remember: citrus, lemon, vanilla mint, and cinnamon), which involved Emeril standing in a bathroom, brushing his teeth in the middle of the night, having a BAM!gasm and waking everyone up.

It has that hint of vanilla in it, though. DEATHCLEAN GODTEETH ARE SO COOL, THOUGH!

Now that I think about it...it sounds like the name of a band...

Mine is Colgate, and I'm not sure there was a lemon-flavored toothpaste, there, so maybe Emeril is advertising a different brand with another vanilla mint flavor. See, I don't really like DEATHCLEAN GODTEETH because mint toothpaste hurts my mouth X_x so now I'm wondering where I could get lemon toothpaste...
