Last night lightning struck our house, or something somewhere, and not only was it really loud, but it probably broke our cable modem. So I'm writing this on my parents' laptop, and we're connected to the internet through a neighbor's wifi. Mmhm. So I probably won't be around for a couple days, until we can do something about it on Monday.
In the meantime, I have another book to read in Japanese, but there's one part I don't get and I'm not entirely sure it's because the writing is bad. Then again, it's really not very good writing and there are a lot of Latin words that seem to be thrown in to confusing. But it doesn't help that my Japanese isn't perfect---THERE, I SAID IT. And I've been feeling pretty bad about it lately what with the translations and throwing out a bunch of raw episodes of Ouran Koukou Host Club. So reading this book is kind of frustrating. I guess I could draw or translate or watch some Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, but it all reminds me. I'm not good enough.
And that brings me to eating. NOT ALLOWED.

Don't be too depressed about problems in your Japanese comprehension; the way it happens with me is that I'm stuck at a certain level for a long time, and then all of a sudden I can understand much more than I could previously. Even if you have trouble now I'm sure you'll get better :)

Well, it struck something. There was this one clap of thunder that was like the loudest I ever heard---it made my hair stand on end. And then the internet went out.
