Update on Xenosaga

I:
-Still like Allen.
-Am still uncomfortable about Shion. Specifically, what makes me uncomfortable is my perception that her character was made to please men playing the game. Even when she tried to open the airlock, it was cute because she was so determined and devoted to her work and KOS-MOS. I'd like to see her do something that wouldn't make a man happy. Maybe I want to see her interact with Realians more.
-Am not used to not being able to run around and fight whenever I want to. It seems like there's always a limit to the leveling up, for various reasons. (Usually there just aren't enough ways to heal my party.) I've noticed that occasionally in Tales games times are hard in the very beginning, and there aren't quite enough items or skills or monies to keep the party afloat, but as the game progresses and you keep fighting, it almost becomes too easy. I want that to be what happens in Xenogears. I need more chances to fight.
-Loved "You didn't even notice?" (Also: They were eating curry! Curry still exists in the future!)
-M.O.M.O. IS A MAGICAL GIRL. I can have a MAGICAL GIRL in my party. You would not believe the STARS this put in my eyes. You would not believe the steps I have taken while playing games in the past to put a magical girl in my party, and here they are just GIVING one to me. Who cares if she was made by some game designer crazy inventor to make pedophiles cyborgs happy!

I tired of the game a bit after that 45-minute long sequence where chaos is introduced, mainly because I got stuck at that part where you're in the building, and you have to walk so that the guards can't hear you? I can't remember if I could get past that, but I couldn't get past something and got tired of it. The game has potential, but I'm too lazy.

Yeah, um, I ran into a ridiculously hard boss right after that part with the guards. It took me like an hour to beat him =_= And the guards were annoying, too...and I keep missing items...it's not an easy game so far.

I laughed a lot at the Magical Girl comment. Do you know she even has other costumes? *wink*

You can fight more if you return to an area later. I can't remember exactly but I'm sure you aren't limited in this aspect - if you want to level up, I'm sure you can.

Btw, surely you must have noticed the Foreshadowing (with a capital F) that is happening with Shion. If not, keep playing!

Foreshadowing? Which thing? The mysterious stuff she keeps seeing, or maybe all that talk about her brother, or what I've been hearing about the incident two years ago? (I'm actually most interested in her brother. What does "Worthless" Grownup look like 2000 years in the future?)

Okay, I went back and found your comment (it wasn't changing the number of comments on my entries page because it was screened, so I missed it), and the YSI links have probably expired because they only last a week. But you can try on central_library. Some of those links last more like a month. Or you can tell me what you want me to upload and I can upload it for you.
