So about 7 months ago, I made this entry talking about my doujinshi collection. Wow. I didn't have so many back then. Right now the stack is easily about a foot high and I've probably spent upwards of $500 getting it all together OTL But I wouldn't be a yaoi fangirl without ample doujinshi, right? (Yeah, and I really want to prove that I'm a yaoi fangirl, totally (≡ー≡))
A couple nights ago I went through my doujinshi collection and wrote down little summaries on post-its stuck to the doujinshi. These summaries are written in italics before the proper description.
fanfic: Roy falls in love w/ Ed
comic: Roy leaves on a helicopter
Little Bit of Love, Katakura Kei/Avant-Garde and Takayama Atsushi/Kishou Tenketsu- In the comic, Roy visits Ed in his hotel room one day while Al is out...playing pachinko...they get to talking about how grownups play and they end up kissing. Then Hawkeye comes to pick up Roy in a helicopter. In the fanfic, Roy falls in love with Ed (or Ed's looks, whatever, Roy comes across as a big pervert in this) and he wastes no time more or less attacking Ed, though they don't make it as far as actual buttsex. It's based off of events in the manga, so there is, for instance, a scene just before Ed takes his test to be a State Alchemist where he discusses passing the test with Roy. Overall, the publishing date isn't the only thing that says that this is one of Katakura Kei's earlier things. The helicopter! They don't have flying machines in Hagaren!!!!11 OMG.

fanfic: Ed and Roy get time off together
Borderless, Katakura Kei/Avant Garde and Misaki Taro v/Kuma-san Club- Denny Broche (remember him? More or less Maria Ross' partner?) looks up to Roy Mustang until Havoc half-jokingly tells him that Roy is doing it with Ed. Denny is confused, but then he sees Roy kissing Ed, and the story ends with him having lots of fantasies about Ed. Is there anybody who DOESN'T want to have sex with Ed? Jeez. The fanfic is very soft and fuzzy and cute. Roy and Ed lounge around in their t-shirts under a tree on top of a hill on a sunny day. They cuddle and watch each other sleeping and at the end they even have sex, but it's not very graphic. I liked both stories in this. The fanfic was so squishy, but the kiss scene in the comic came as a real surprise, and it made me feel funny and happy in my chest.

Chuudoku, Katakura Kei/Avant-Garde and Misaki Taro v/Kuma-san Club and Iketsuki Megumu + Hashiba Yuka/CRISS-CROSS- There are two comics and fanfics each in this, and they're all based around the theme of "poisoning." Also, they are a couple questions like, "What is your policy when writing RoyEd?" for each author before each story, and I found these easier to read and understand then the usual chitchat. The comic by Katakura Kei shows Roy as Snow White, and Ed accidentally waking him up by kissing him...while humping him. Silly, silly Ed! Roy quickly takes over after that. In the fanfic by Misaki Taro v, Ed and Roy have sex in a hotel room. Not much else happens, although Ed does masturbate a little bit because he gets there first. For the comic by Iketsuki Megumu, we have Ed on an aphrodisiac (again, silly Ed) and Roy helping him out. But like many semes have done before him, at first Roy ties Ed up and won't let him come. Now, I read the fanfic by Hashiba Yuka and I know I got it when I read it but I don't remember much about it. Apparently Ed loses a bet that he could win in a fight with Roy, and Roy uses that as leverage to kiss Ed and bother him and eventually have sex with him. Bad Roy. (But that's why we love him---うんうん!) Why am I making this joke? The only person who will get it shouldn't be reading this. BAD YANG. BAD.

Tsuki ni Negawakuba Eien wo, Katakura Kei/Avant-Garde and Misaki Taro v/Kuma-san Club- Al makes a birthday wish on the moon to be able to hold hands with his big brother and feel his warmth. His wish is granted: Roy and Al switch bodies for one day, and they do eventually hold hands. But also, during this day, Al is expected to fulfill Roy's duties, and he does so while charming the pants off of practically everything that works at Easten Headquarters. Roy gets a pile of flowers and presents the next day. In the fanfic, Ed comes to visit just while Roy is drinking a nice bottle of wine and looking at the moon. While Roy is trying to drink the whole bottle, Ed can only have half a glass before he gets drunk (!!! Uke power all the way!), and it makes Ed more vulnerable and honest. They naturally have sex, because Misaki Taro v had to make up for the lack of sex in Katakura Kei's story. (≡ー≡)

Honnou, Katakura Kei/Avant-Garde and Iketsuki Megumu + Hashiba Yuka/CRISS-CROSS- The first comic is a retelling of Momotarou, where Ed is an oni and Roy is Momotarou. Roy comes and finds Ed on his island, and after beating him in a fight, learns that Ed has heard about him and has a crush on him. Apparently they fuck many many times because Ed has the endurance of an oni, and Roy is a happy man but about to die from lack of sleep. In the fanfic, Roy and Ed are at a graduate school as far as I can tell and they more or less work together. They have a fight; Ed thinks Roy only wanted him for his brains, not because he loved him, but this is quickly resolved with some sex. The last story, by Katakura Kei, is one I've talked about here before. Ed approaches Dr. Roy with symptoms of an erect penis that spurts white fluid when rubbed, so Dr. Roy helps him out. When I talked about this, it inspired Yang to start discussing Roy shoving his laryngoscope (a hard metal rod) down patients' throats. He STILL talks about it sometimes.

Cutie Hunter Mame, Katakura Kei/Avant-Garde and Iketsuki Megumu + Hashiba Yuka/CRISS-CROSS- The short comic by Katakura Kei has Ed has a kaitou stealing people's money to use to make himself taller. Roy catches him, ties him up and proclaims that "milk" will make Ed...bigger. Ed accepts his offer (...SILLY SILLY ED). In the other comic, Ed breaks into Roy's house and calls Roy from there, and it quickly deteriorates into Ed getting off on Roy's voice. Roy eventually comes to the rescue, but not before Ed says, "You can only come inside me!" The fanfic is long (it took me about a week because I couldn't just sit down and read it all at once), but basically, Ed is a waitress (he is, for all purposes, treated as female in this) at a little restaurant, and Roy, a single man who doesn't cook for himself, becomes one of his regulars. It's love at first sight for Ed, and they eventually have sex, but first Ed has to confess his love to Roy, and it's full of excitement and fear and teenaged longing. This felt a little rushed. It seemed like it needed more dithering and a longer denouement, though the way it ended DID make me squee.

Sexy Hunter Mame, Katakura Kei/Avant-Garde and Iketsuki Megumu + Hashiba Yuka/CRISS-CROSS- The first comic, by Iketsuki Megumu, is a retelling of Tsuru no Ongaeshi with a dildo replacing the silk and a happy ending replacing the sad ending. The second comic, by Katakura Kei, is a retelling of Arashi no Yoru ni, a story about a wolf and a goat who make friends but also want to kill each other, with Roy as the wolf and Ed as the goat. The fanfic I don't remember very well because I last read it in its entirety months ago, but one's another AU where Ed lives with Al, and Roy is like a big brother to the both of them. Ed falls in love with Roy, and they become more than just family. There's a bit of a scary and wonderful moment when Ed confesses his love to Roy, and Roy more or less says they're going to go all the way or do nothing at all, but it seemed so very in-character and exciting, and I liked it (would you go all the way with Roy? I think so). The other fanfic I remember even less about, but it's basically Ed in Munich remembering a time when he came onto Roy, and he couldn't tell whether Roy really liked him or was manipulating him or not. Roy is very smug in this.
Precious, Katakura Kei/Avant-Garde and Iketsuki Megumu + Hashiba Yuka/CRISS-CROSS- The comic is a continuation of the Denny Broche story. This time, Ed is teaching the army guys kung fu or whatever and they're all enjoying it when he throws them. Roy shows up and acts like a complete lunatic just as it's Denny's turn to be thrown, and it ends with an explosion as an angry Ed pulls on one of Roy's pyrotex gloves and blows them all away. I haven't read the fanfic here yet, but it seems to be a basic story where Ed falls in love with Roy, confesses his love to Roy, and eventually has sex with Roy.
Ameiro Houseki, Kawashou Kobo/Yokohamaya- Ed's problem is that he can't leave Central because of the rain, and when he has to stay, he has to deal with Roy. Roy asks Ed if he's afraid of him. Ed says no, and tries to walk away, but Roy is a seme after all, and he catches him and throws him down on his desk. And then he kisses him. It's all so terribly cute, Ed's expressions are wonderful and the kissing scene made my little otaku heart flutter. I know this isn't by Katakura Kei or anything, but I loved it so much I just had to talk about it here. I like this Kawashou Kobo ♥ My only problem is that I had to pay $15 for this book at Otakon! Why is doujinshi so expensive here? (And can I get mine insured?)
I have preordered my copy of Tales of Destiny remake, but with the cheap slow shipping, so I will be getting it and playing it a little slower than everyone else (but that just leaves more time for the walkthrough sites to get all set up). I will be sure to talk about it a lot when I get it. Until then, I will play Xenosaga, and probably Baldur's Gate. Should I be a Paladin, or multiclass Fighter/Cleric?
