It had to happen sooner or later

From the Japanese version of Ave Maria:
なやめるこのこころ きみにねぎまつる
Nayameru kono kokoro kimi ni negimatsuru
Tayorubenaki otome kimi ni negimatsuru
Kagirinaki shinmote kimi ni negimatsuru

WHAT. DOES. THIS. MEAN?! I have a vague idea of what matsuru and the other stuff mean, but negi? Negi? Negi?! NEGiES?! I've had this song stuck in my head all day and I DESERVE TO KNOW.

It was a productive day. I went to the mall and bought a new outfit at The Limited so I can go eat dinner with my parents at FuGaKyu. (The Limited is full of expensive, pretty clothes. Not very colorful, but good for one special outfit.) Then I bought two ties for my father's Christmas present at Lord and Taylor, and a cute winter hat to match my blue scarf. And then I made a matcha chiffon cake. It's not finished cooling off yet. (I bake late.)

I also watched some of Tampopo. It was one of the internet's Christmas presents to me. If I can only tell you to watch one movie, then it's Tampopo. It's a Japanese movie about food. There are subtitled versions and DVD rips floating around because people like it, so it wouldn't be too hard to find. The director, Juzo Itami, probably killed himself. ...I don't know, what am I supposed to say here?! (-_-;)

Also, look what I bought! Sailor Saturn! I thought I wouldn't ever be able to get one of these...

IT IS OBVIOUSLY REFERNCING ALL THREE. AT THE SAME TIME.

He makes a pretty good icon, I think.

I believe it's the verb ねぐ (not a difficult guess from ねぎまつる), so a quick lookup gave me this:

労ぐ / 犒ぐ:
神の心を慰め、加護を願う。

和魂をねぎて玉船の鎮としたまふ
(from 神功訓)

Apparetly it can also mean:
慰労する。ねぎらう。

Wow! Hey, thank you (≡ー≡)
