Anybody who doesn't have friends with friends with magazines with articles with their fingers on the mighty pulse of Namdai, there's a game coming out in Japan next spring called (maybe)
Tales of Symphonia -Knight of Ratatosk-,
For the Wii. Takes place two years after Tales of Symphonia. Symphonia characters will appear, though they're going to have to do something really fancy to get Kratos in there. They're also going to release Tales of Innocence for the DS, Tales of Destiny remake Director's Cut, and a remake of Tales of Rebirth, in that order, starting this winter.
maiki is basically all over this, so if you want more information, hit up her journal.
I can't say I'm really excited enough to want to buy any of these right away. Clearly I'm very curious about Ratatosk, but I'm waiting to go wild until I hear about more playable (female) characters and less about a Legendia developer working on it. And it's for the Wii. I'd like to wait another year or so and find more games I MUST HAVE before I get one of those.
Tales of Innocence will probably be met with suspicion after Tales of Tempest, and I'm not interested in Nintendo DS. I might pick up Tales of Rebirth PSP because I suddenly have fond memories of it (I guess after ToD2 everything looks good).
I am extremely disdainful of Tales of Destiny Director's Cut. Understand that I am one of those people who was always bitter about Tales of Destiny because it took attention away from Phantasia. It was the only Tales anybody talked about for years. Now, Tales of Destiny will have a secret version of the main story, where Leon is the main character. No, I'm not kidding. Yes, I am holding back a joke about oral sex for Leon fans. And fapping.

1. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
2. Tag seven people to do the same.
3. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag whoever to do it.
1. I prefer Kratos to Leon by far, Fujishima Tales to Mutsumi Tales. I am the typical RPG fan in that started on the SNES, in that I am rigid and demanding with many games. I have a personal rule that there must be two or more playable female characters, one of whom must be a good physical fighter, for a game to be acceptable.
2. I have to limit my exposure to Fullmetal Alchemist canon because I am so powerfully concerned for Ed and Roy, and with the welfare of RoyEd. I tend to only read fluff or crack and look at cheesecake. Yeah, it's an obsession, sure.
3. Having a rather strong weeaboo streak, Robin speak Japanese. I would like someone to talk to in Japanese but I hesitate. My main source of anxiety is that I'm pretty geeky. I actually kind of wouldn't want to live in Japan.
4. My current favorite (non-dessert) foods are shimesaba, Japanese curry rice, chicken tikka masala, and boneless buffalo wings. As you can see, most of these are spicy, but I like them for the sour/rich flavors rather than for the heat.
5. I have a big fat collection of cute things, including 2343 stickers still on their original paper, a bunch of stuffed animals named for sweet food, with personalities, bunches of unused (but CUTE) stationary, pink or lacy clothes, picture after picture of pretty desserts and foods, and over $800 in FMA doujinshi. ...what?
6. I basically dropped out of high school and got my GED. I'm just glad I got out of there, which is to say I am a tad bitter. I automatically define school as enemy and oppressor.
7. I am using Knoppix as I write this. Yes, it's Linux, but I wouldn't call myself hardcore. Oh my god, people, it looks just like Windows XP. It's not that hard. You can do it, too, and then you can say, I USE LINUX ^______________________________________^ (on a side note, no, I haven't fixed my computer yet, and I think I won't get around to it for another week).
I'm going to Rhode Island for a week starting tomorrow, and my parents want to leave at noon so I think I won't get another chance to post for a while. Just so we all know what's going on.

But is it just me, or does ラタトスク look a lot like クラトス? It's like they just rearranged the letters and added an extra 'ta' in there...
It's stressful to care too much about an ongoing series, isn't it? Sigh.
Never seen much point to Linux though; every now and then my brother will install Red Hat or whatever on a computer and swear at it for a few days while he gets all the details working, and then not really use it all that much. I think it's like a stunt; お手並み拝見!
Have a good trip!

Oh my god, I'm worried that Tales of Innocence is going to be another story about two warring groups (furries vs. humans, replicas vs. humans, Celestians vs. Inferians, half-elves vs. elves vs. humans) learning to Get Along thanks to a preachy, idealistic young man Caught In the Middle of it All. =__________________= I...kind of thought they were moving beyond that.
It is stressful. I really hope they don't get into the habit of releasing unfinished games.
The thing about Knoppix is that it doesn't really invite all the swearing. It's just so not difficult. Download, burn to CD, load from CD.

Innocence's plot reminds me of Rebirth's, with a shy young man with white hair suddenly getting supernatural powers. But I can't judge it until it actually comes out. ^^; Still... aim higher, Namco Tales Studio! I want to see them surpass Abyss.
Still don't see the point though. XD; XP works pretty well for me, and I'm lazy.
