AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I read, you know? That satsuma sweet potatoes are in season. So I bought two, and I thought each one would make a nice breakfast someday. Well, today was someday, and I preheated the oven to 450 degrees to bake one. But when I was putting in the potato...what's this? There's all this smoke coming out of the oven. Jeez. And it stinks. And there's...stuff...in the oven...

THAT'S RIGHT. MY DAD PUT DISHES IN THE OVEN SO THAT THE CLEANING LADY WOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT ON MONDAY, AND THEY'RE STILL THERE.

Well, they're not just there anymore, they're getting burned and cracked and one is melting. Not kidding, I saw a punch of plasticy white drips on the bottom from something that isn't even identifiable anymore. Oh, and I got a nice lungful of god knows what poisonous substance from all that. Now my dog just came barreling into the TV room sniffling and sneezing the whole time...she did, too. Poor animal.

What am I going to eat for breakfast... =_=

EDIT: The oven has cooled down, the smoke has dissipated a little, mom came home, and we both examined the oven...and the plastic thing is mostly a puddle on the bottom of the oven, except for one strip that's sticking to one of the oven racks.

It's also rock solid.

NOT MY FAULT.

You know? That's absolutely horrible. But so very, very funny.

...Hahaha. Sounds like hell to clean, though!

Well, yeah. And we can't use the oven until we do. ._.

Burning plastic emits dioxin, a powerful poison, like the kind that poisoned the Ukrainian president.

Yes, the dioxin did that to his face.

It wasn't burning.

Not all of it, anyway. Just melting.
