Okay, so...I bought two JaAni doujinshi ORZ I decided that I want to see Anise and Jade being equally evil and lighthearted and so avoided the explicit book with more stereotypical material (that is, Jade gets to be evil and Anise moans a lot). Also, it was $25, which is too much for something that is possible DO NOT WANT. The other two include the trading of costumes and other cutery. P.S. I took this as my opportunity to put a bunch of Abyss doujinshi on my wishlist on JPQueen. Most of it is Peony x Jade or Guy x Luke by a certain author. Still butthurt about Abyss vs. certain Square franchises.

Also under the category of Things That Give Me the Heebie-Jeebies, my dog has a smooth oval thing about a centimeter long on a spot near her eye, and it IS tick season. I'm too wussy to take it off, even with a tissue, much less hold my dog down while I yank a bug off her face, and now I feel bad. My father also had a tick attached to him long enough to make a famous bullseye mark, and he had to go to the doctor so they could cut out (!) the remains. Ewww! EWWWW!

aww, yeesh! poor dad, poor puppy. I have no appreciation for yucky bugs. (especially ones that steal my blood.)

I think the biggest change with the new house is the amount---the volume of the bugs. There are so many bugs that it scares me a little.

I suppose living in the woods has its pros and cons..

..we had this one apartment in Marseille, in the middle of *everything*, right across from the mall, grocery shopping, and of course, the bird lady. It was a really nice, spacious apartment.. got tons of light, balconies above the bar on the street.. it was great. Of course, the catch was, this was a *really* old building. Every once in a while, they had some sort of sewer issue, and you could smell this really bad smell in the hallways.. and whatever it was would bring up none other than cockroaches. (gyuck.)

I hate ticks. It is important to get it off, though, since they can carry diseases. Maybe you could try tweezers?

I would have gone straight for them if I knew where they were, but I didn't because it was the country house. We might not even keep any there...maybe a first aid kit in the car. Anyway, yeah, part of the reason I was freaking out was because I was like OH MY GOD DISEASES MY DOG IS NOT YOUNG ANYMORE ETC. and I felt like I had to remove it, but could not even think about it without whimpering.

I don't think it makes much difference because my father took it off and said it was a flea. =_= Time for more flea medicine, dog butt...

I also hear that dabbing turpentine on the tick will make it withdraw from its bite.

Maybe if they keep a glass vial of turpentine and some cotton swabs? Or a jar of cotton swabs soaked in turpentine.

I hear that if you boil the ends of persimmons and drink it...oh, wait. I read that turpentine isn't good for the bite. The tick could barf into the bite!? Something like that.
