Okay, so, Tales chit-chat.
1. The Tales Channel website is all different so you don't have to scroll all the way down to see the old games, lawl.
2. There's another Vesperia trailer,which contains enough interesting material for me to translate. Oboy! You're all so excited, right.
Estelle: At first I really thought, "now I can finally live like a normal person." But you're all fighting for your very lives. I can't be the only one not to fight.
Rita: Estelle!
Yuri: I'll go with that.
Judith: Oh, yes.
Karol: Yeah.
Raven: Oh yeah, come along then.
Estelle: I will!
Yuri: Let's go, guys...this is the final battle!
Flynn: Couldn't you give back Lady Estellize now?
Yuri: I can't make that princess of yours do what I say.
Dragon: I will erase the poison of this world!
Estelle: What IS my power? What is this about the Full Moon?
Rita: What---what is that?!
Yuri: It's...the star eater...
Estelle: I could hurt them all! (sob) I need to be with them!
Yuri: I don't care if you do it for the greater good or whatever you want. If you screw someone over, you've done something wrong.
Flynn: Trust me with your lives!
Karol: I'm not strong like you, Yuri!
Yuri: I thought that was your dream!
Estelle: How about...Brave Vesperia? "The brightest star of all."
Raven: How do I say this...I was kinda...dead.
Rita: Why?!
Judith: Because this is my way.
Rita: I wanted my theory to be wrong...
Karol: I have to do this...
Yuri: Karol!!
Karol: I have to do it now!
Estelle: I knew it...my powers are poison!
Judith: The Full Moon burns life.
Yuri: I can tell nothing's changed at all.
Estelle: Yuri, when I travel with you, I feel like maybe I could find...the path I choose, too.
Yuri: You said you'd made up your mind.
No attack names. Also, I think I predicted there being a natural disaster coming from the sky and killing people :3
EDIT: I'm only noticing now (phailure) but they seem to have really toned down the Flynn and Yuri subtext, and instead they...kind of make it look like Rita will be providing our lesbian funtime this game, possibly with an innocent best friends/puppy love relationship with Estelle and a bickering rivalry/best friends relationship with Judith?
On a mostly unrelated note, while it pleases me to see girls in an anime-type atmosphere being all sparkles and sunshine instead of tearing each others' throats out over a man (claiming all the while that it's the affliction of their gender, whatever gender that is), they are both extremes that I'm tired of seeing. I feel like it's rare to see a female relationship where the author themselves isn't at least hinting at 秘密の花園 etc. CONTRARY TO APPEARANCES, I don't slash every guy in anime and manga. :333

EDIT: I didn't want to say so before, but the outfit that girl is wearing is basically the white version of Annie's outfit.

When I thought about all the fighting over boys, I was actually thinking about Wedding Peach, which was not very feminist for a series by women for girls about girls. I distinctly remember one time when Momo thinks, it's our destiny as girls to change into bitches over boys. Yeah, sure, if you're in middle school.
I'm kind of pleased to hear that PS3 was good this way. It's high time I played that game, I've just hesitated because it's so long and it sounds like quite an undertaking. The girls in Tales of the Abyss also start out fighting with each other and end up being...casually cohesive. However, I think one of them at some point comments on how wonderful male friendship is because the boys solve problems by going out and beating each other up :/ Everything needs more friendships that benefit the girls, not the viewer.
