Thoughts on yaoi Haruka 4, as of the beginning of uhhh the third chapter. I'm tempted to blame the game for being slow, but I the truth is that I am probably having a letdown after my big trip :( I'm having trouble taking interest in my usual distractions, like reading/video games. Haruka 4 in particular should be able to keep me busy for hours and hours at a time, but not so far...yes, I have reached a point where I worry about myself if I get bored with a game after 2 hours a day ORZ

なぎ、豊葦原の猫族か何かだったり。めんどくさがり・おひるねにこだわっている・とにかく一人で行動したがる・好き嫌いがはっきりしている等など証拠としてもう色々あげられる。
I'm guessing that I'm supposed to enjoy the forbidden love with an aggressive dude, but I just don't find Hiiragi very interesting :/ yet?

Oshihito is Leon. He's pretty and delicate but frighteningly powerful, demonic swords, contrastic big burly soldiers, dark hair, lots of prestige and honor at a young age...OH YEAH, AND THE TSUN, CAN'T FORGET THE TSUN. The tsun is strong with this one.I know this is a very crude thing to say but he walked in on a defenseless naked chick in a gorgeous waterfall and all he can talk about is shinies? Where is the event where we find out that he's just really good at hiding bon---I mean, affection?
There is a slight problem with the graphics in Haruka. This is the first time I have been so exposed to the shortcomings of the poor old Wii, and it's kind of...brutal. While the patterns ON the polygons are maybe like early PS2, the movement is truly, strikingly crude. Whenever Yuunagi moves her scarf goes flying out to the wrong side...people just vanish when they walk off screen...there is no new motion introduced when a character turns in place, not even the same old walking (like I think they did in Angelique Trois). To top it all off the controls for walking around feel quite clunky.
I think Koei or Ruby Party made a pretty serious mistake here. Fancy motion-sensing remote controls are just not what I look for in romance games, and the only purpose the 3D has is to show me very roughly where each character is standing. They should have stuck to gorgeous pixels or possibly even more hand-drawn art combined with nice 3-D effects on screen for magic.
This should be no surprise considering the subject matter, but there are certain songs from Mai-Otome that sound hauntingly like they are about Sailormoon, so I made translations of the ones that really struck me and put them up here (≡ω≡) I also wrote down some suggestions of what fits each song, mostly for my reference.

EDIT: Right, I remember what I wanted to talk about! A new Summon Night game has been announced, and I believe the official site will go up in a matter of hours.
The Summon Night website has been awfully...undisturbed lately, and I could tell they were plotting something. I have been looking forward to a new game. Unfortunately, a DS game was not what I was hoping for, and according to this article, it's going to have a turn-based battle system that basically looks like Final Fantasy. The phrases "kiss of death" and "what have you done" come to mind.
I heard that Namco-Bandai Games Incorporated bought the company that housed Flight Plan, and it looks like Flight Plan is really putting its heart into another series...jeez, you guys, where are you going with Summon Night? D:
On the bright side, Sacred Blaze pictures prominently feature a brunette chick who looks like a guy and a blonde guy who looks like Flynn...YES, THAT IS MY MOE BUTTON, YOU CAN STOP HAMMERING IT NOW
I found something else to talk about, and I put it up with the Haruka 4 stuff, where it belongs.

I was playing again, and I started to think that Haruka 4 characters looked a lot like Sims (ノД‘) I hear the Wii has some history with the Sims, so I guess this is a bad thing to say, but...they look like stiff, pretty Sims...
