Games I can't escape from, because they totally have me, get the freaking jaws of life, I'm not gonna make it:

-Angelique Etoile
For some reason right now it seems utterly important that I fill in all the stupid date still pictures. Prioritizing doesn't help because I don't want to start with another birthday just so I don't have to wait for Leonard's picture or whatever. OMG Koei, you just had to make this suck, didn't you? P.S. loading times are still long enough for me to read feminist blogs while I'm waiting. This is a massive failing.

-Atelier Iris
It's like I finally hit my groove in this game. I don't really care about having to walk around and do errands. Suddenly everything makes sense, and it's very important that I make the very best potato chips possible.

-Tales of Fandom
No, I lied, I don't really really want to play this anymore.

Stuff I Haven't Actually Played Yet:
-Ar Tonelico
I DON'T KNOW IF I WANT TO PLAY THIS OR NOT. I'm interested but every time I look at Aurica I'm like, I have to fall in love with you? Your most powerful costume is a towel? I can't even remember when I bought this. This is such a mistake. (Now that I have it I feel like I have to buy the second one, too)

-THE Rouman Chabou
While I have my doubts about the name, the game consists of manufacturing Japanese desserts and hanging out with guys, so that looks like fun.

-Hakuouki
Somehow a chick starts hanging out with shinsengumi, and somehow shinsengumi is all HOT GUYS WITH GREAT VOICES, and stuff happens!

-Harutoki 4
I haven't even cleared this one. I kind of quit because HELLO, INFERIOR 3-D WII GRAPHICS MAKE MY GUYS LOOK LIKE THE SIMS. I'll also mention here that the official guidebook is split up into two books that cost $17 each, and they are by NOT the largest walkthrough books I ever saw. In fact, they could have put this into one book easily, but why make girls pay $17 when you could make them pay $35~ for the exact same thing that every other game gets?

-Harutoki 3 うぃす十六夜記 あんど運命の迷宮
いうまでもないし。

-Dear my SUN!!
Or however many exclamation points go after it. So one son is really Al-like, and the other is kind of Ed-like. Surprisingly, lately I really want to raise an Al son (>3>)

-Princess Nightmare
Purchased solely for the joy of someday pretending to be a loli vampire in love with a vampire killer ORZ

-Shining Force EXA
It looks pretty. That's all.

-Shining Wind
It looks pretty. I like Kureha's outfit. THAT'S ALL.

YOUR INPUT IS WELCOME

Making recipes in Atelier Iris was actually really enjoyable (food, alchemy, whatever). The lighthearted plot was nice too.

If you think Ar Tonelico was a mistake then for heaven's sake don't get the next one XDDDD

Somehow I can't get Benkei's route to trigger in Haruka 3 and keep on falling into Kurou's... is this subconscious? orz

This (http://neoromance.info/haruka/haruka3/event.html) is the best source I know of on the interbutt. Have you used that one? If you have...MAYBE KUROU IS STALKING YOU

Ew, I was so proud of my comment I posted prematurely 8D

YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH T_T I got interested in the second one because I thought maybe I'll like the girls better! But, I mean, I've seen the fanservice art and stuff, I know what I'm getting into :/

Yeah, that part was really fun. I got into it again because (like everyone else) I want the highest rating on everything and better reviews than the last time I played!!! After playing Atelier Marie, though, I think I might do better if I got into a more recent Atelier game with a female main character. It really is different.

I did use it, I'm wondering if I have to ignore the option to succesfully ride down the alternate route. Does make me a little nervous though...

There are games for guys that can be cute or interesting and some that are just no XD; To me AT seems to fall in the latter category 8D;

Atelier Annie is supposed to be coming out on DS...? I have no idea if it's any good or not though.

Ar Tonelico ... is a mistake. But the soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous. I can't stand one of the heroines (the one that isn't Misha) and it takes a lot for me not to like something with boo- I mean, yeah.

Shining Wind is paced very slowly. As an action game I think it fails at being exciting at all. But hey, it's Taka Tony. I wish Sega would stop driving all their old franchises into the ground.

I bought Shining Wind because I support the idea of making people into cool swords, in hopes that maybe I get a sexy reverse harem version that isn't Pretear. It DOES have one of those androgynous male creatures that looks like a girl, right? (not much help)

Ar Tonelico ... is a mistake.
For me, or...for everything?! I think the heroine you don't like is Aurica. She looks like a melodramatic teenager---should've been in High School Musical!

Mostly everything. The combat system was superficial and the writing wasn't particularly compelling, as I recall. But Misha was kinda cute.

Oh yeah it does. I think the best approximation of manliness Taka Tony can do is androgyny so no worries there!

Oh, no, not a superficial combat system. Well, I quit, I'm selling this and downloading the soundtrack somewhere >:|

Sooo androgynous/possibly shota, ack...
