When I stayed at a fancy hotel in Kyoto, I had the breakfast buffet, and at the buffet, they had fruit. I mostly ignored it for the Japanese breakfast, but then my dad had it. And suggested it to me. Well, fine, why not, right? I had melon. I had never had melon like that before---it was like I had always imagined melon should be. It was sweet and soft, and it tasted melon-y, just at the peak of ripeness. Several months later I'm starting to really want some ;_;

I ordered Missing Moon, Sacred Blaze, and Radiant Mythology 2 on February 21st with the shipping that's supposed to take about 2 weeks and my package is NOT here yet. I know that we have inclement winter weather, but whatever happened to no rain nor sleet nor snow etc.? No complaints about inclement financial weather either, I've been waiting for my games since a couple days after they were sent out and I want them now ;_; Surely everyone in the world has already played and discarded Radiant Mythology 2! And the stupid website has been shut down too I JUST KNOW IT.

I've never had Japanese melon. :O Does it taste different from cantaloupe?

Come to think of it neither have I, though I've eaten honeydew and cantaloupe. I did think it was a touch different. It was like it was lighter or cleaner than cantaloupe, which tastes kind of strong or even kinda...rotten to me :/ But it was still just as sweet and melon-y, and it was pretty tender, too. It might have been just because it was green?

You might be able to get some if and when you go to Japan, but the hotel buffet was $30 a head ^^;;;;

Lighter and cleaner, like honeydew or watermelon? Cantaloupe is kinda creamy and musky. XD I was guessing it was kinda like cantaloupe because the melon drinks and bread I had tastes similar to cantaloupe.

I've seen watermelon for $30, and I haven't seen melons, but I'm guessing they're about the same price or more in supermarkets. :(

It was...cleaner but sweeter than honeydew or watermelon...okay, it was like cantaloupe only not as strong and maybe not as musky. And SWEET! It was weaker than melon drinks or candy.

The expensive melons cost that much because they raise them to be perfectly round, with a beautiful net, and they cut other melons off the same tree so the melons that stay get all the nutrients. I kind of wonder what Japan is doing with all their imperfect fruit?
