Tales channel finally has some updates. A new game, that's good. Another Tales of Phantasia port---can't you guys just make it into a 3D game or something? Also, the popularity contest!

In this year's little picture, there is no representation for Tales of Phantasia, and Tales of Destiny is represented by Leon Magnus---and nobody else. Not even Stahn! Leon is officially both the hidden heroine and the real hero ._.

Bbbf. Leon is the HIDDEN hero, because of spoilery events I am suddenly not sure you are familiar with? >3> He's tragic! He's beautiful! He has endless subtext with the sunny hero! He wins character popularity contests while the real hero and heroine get ignored! SOME DAY I WILL GIVE THAT LITTLE SQUIRT DIABETES WITH A PUDDING SUNDAE.

Aaahhhh, not fair. You get to do fun stuff for school!!! Do something depressing like studying housewives once in a while, would you? Or the current state of alcoholic salarymen.

I recommend Tales of Vesperia for hot HD 3D characters. I can actually SEE that Yuri is pretty, I don't have to guess like in certain other games. Really, whatever I can imagine for an ideal is quite close now. I look forward to more high-budget next-gen Tales, though I suppose with the economy the way it is it might be a while >3>

Uh.. yea, caught me, I've never truly studied the phenomenon of Leon actually! He's just this character I mostly keep forgetting about, until he pops up somewhere and I notice he makes me happy each time he does. But everytime Leon still suffers from the same problem as pretty 3D Yuri, in that I'm both postponing their games until I'm more adequate at Japanese. Um at least the crappy state of the economy gives me lot's of time to catch up I guess.

Oh, don't envy. There is of course little as depressing as the lives of the majority of Japanese, and I'm sure my teachers will appreciate that I do a good share of research and writing papers on their sad, non-adventurous lives instead of playing dreamy videogames with endless subtext (besides, I seem to suffer from daily anhedonic intervals that can turn any activity into an endless bore ORZ). See, I already have reasons for complaints about this course, so it's just like any regular education!

Whops, I realized that perhaps sounded whinier than I am (at least most of the time). I mean, it's still pretty cool being able to classify playing j-rpgs as studying of course! Especially if that means finally being able to explore all facets of Leon so I can at last love him for all he's worth.. and then haremize him like all the other pretty men he has to share my affection with.

Also, admittedly the sinister aspects of Japanese culture (Suicides! Hikikomori! Pedophilia! Creepy peppy idols!) fascinate me just as much, while they must seem depressing enough to score points with teachers.
