THIS DOG BELONGS TO ME.

She is what is constantly called a "dixie dog" in this area---she was rescued in the south. We have already paid her temporary foster home the adoption fee and we will pick her up in New Hampshire on the weekend. She is estimated to be a beagle but mostly she is a wonderful mutt.

We have named her Ruby, and we love the name so there will be no changing it. I will accept some slight teasing about the name but I already couldn't help feeling kind of crummy when Yang called her the "deceiving bitch" ORZ.

I'm having puppy anxiety over this animal that I don't even have yet, and nothing can describe how stupid I think I must be for feeling it. The night after mom applied for her (we hadn't even had an e-mail back at the time) I had a dream that my parents came home with our puppy wrapped in something keeping her from breathing. Later in the dream she died and my mom said, oh, it's no big deal, honey! I told my real parents and we actually all laughed a little. Seriously? No big deal? If this dog isn't safe and happy and okay mostly we humans will die ORZ I'm afraid my doggy will get to my house and run out of batteries! Maybe she won't run right on food/water/walks/tons of love and affection. Maybe she'll be too sad. Maybe she'll eat something I treasure, or my parents will send her away for being too loud. And, and. I fear change anyway u_u It's better than before, but I need to get my damn dog so I can just take care of her rather than worrying.

Holy crap, congratulations! She's adorable <3. She looks like Ginger when she was a puppy! How old is she? And Tika's a "dixie dog" too, heh.

If you have any doggy questions, I'm your gal. Also, you totally need to bring her to my doggy day camp when she's older.

THANK YOU. Yes, I loves her. She's, I forget but she's maybe 10, maybe 12 weeks.

My therapist has a dixie dog too, and once she told me about how the local bank was letting shelters show off their dixie dogs one day---not to let people buy on the spot, but to make them see OMG PUPPIES! Hey, southern states, I'm glad you made my dog but make less >:|

Thank you :< I plan to depend on my parents and experiences with Mosey, though since that was when I was 9 I'm sure some things will be foggy. ORZ I bet she would be a happy dog at doggy day camp!
