Oh my god, something has happened to me...I can't stop smiling. It's not like I'm sparkling, it's like I'm glowing. I'm melting and expanding. And a little dizzy. カフェインもの飲んだら相変わらずの体の不思議な反応。普通にお茶飲みたいよ…

idolm@ster 2 will have male characters who dance and sing

It's not "omg I fangirl for them!" it's "omigod Namco put boys in idolm@ster," I could cry for joy ;_; (but also damn they are fucking hot). I doubt they can be produced, considering that they are villains and the target audience wouldn't want to, but if I had the option to defect to 961 Pro (!! はあああ) or use my womanly wiles to tempt them to 765 (!!!!! あはあん) I would um, so totally do it. SO TOTALLY. YEAH. (うあ、あぁん)

GUYS, THAT ONE WHO LOOKS LIKE DEAN IS ALSO AN AQUARIUSSSSSSS.

The announcement of idolm@ster 2---okay. That was important. But I knew that was coming. This. This kinda just made my year. THEY WANT FEMALE FANS. THEY WANT ME. THEY HEARD ME. AN ANSWER FROM ABOVE. FINALLY, THE AWAKENING.

MY MONEY IS YOURS NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMCO ♥

Disclaimer: still not fucking around with XBOX360 ._.

This entry was brought to you pretty much entirely by Adi, who sent me a link to all the interesting stuff. Oh, thank you Adi. I'm just sorry I didn't talk about my life more :( LATER *twirls*

EDIT:
It's like having a missile pointed at me. I used to look at idolm@ster and think, wow, I guess this is why guys like it. Here we have cleverly made scenarios, attractive characters, beautiful fantasy fodder and music that's shockingly good for anime. I could see from the outside that the concept is ingenious. Introducing men means the calculation, the research, the pinpoint focus, is pointed at me. They're calling me. The razor business model, ready to shave away my love and money, and I'm going to love every second of it.

*lurches*

I guess one thing I have to praise is their choice to call the unit Jupiter. Heh heh, celestial bodies, manly gods, rulers of the heavens? Yeah, baby! But, of course, their first song is all "judge me" FFFFFF fangirl fodder!

Important moments:
:51 "Now, Jupiter descends to the land of mortals!" (thx Koyasu)
1:17 hip wiggling
2:06 guyz you have a monkey in your idol unit
2:14 BOUNCE, BOUNCE, we can focus on feet and ankles because they're hot edgy dudes lol (Dean has FRINGE. ON. HIS. PANTS.) And this right after the high kicks!
2:51 I see what you did there ;3
2:57 more hip wiggling
3:03 dead Robin

EDIT: I have been informed that people are already pairing Jupiter with 765 idols and suddenly it all makes sense! Touma -> Iori, Hokuto -> Azusa, Shouta -> Ami DDDDD: OMIGOD

EDIT #4 or 5?: random thoughts
-US anime news sites of varying levels of sensationalism: shut your pieholes :3 this isn't meant for you. Nobody with any sense cares what you think. Especially if you're gonna be all YAOIMASTER SAUSAGEFEST with a ratio of 3 guys to more than 12 girls!
-on the other hand, please keep talking 2ch, you're just hysterical. Just stop doing it on Amazon.
-I've had time to think about it (I didn't figure it out until hours after I heard about the guys) and I would, uh, really miss Azusa :( also Iori is ridiculously cute in this version and I would have loved the chance to dress her up and stuff.

When 961 had Project Fairy in idolm@ster SP, a large part of the Story mode was hanging out with the rival idols and eventually getting them to join 765. Their first image song was about wanton adultery (complete with panting). Then they came to 765 and Takane's image song was about wanting to be a flower. If they don't lose their idol jobs completely when defeated, chances are good that Jupiter is going to change later...dude, guys, they're gonna end up like Johnnys X3 I am especially looking forward to seeing Touma in white bell bottoms with rainbow confetti singing about, god, I dunno, sunlight. He plays soccer! He's the stupid wholesome one! Ffffffffuck I cannot wait.

HAHAHA AWESOME I REALLY WANTED TO SEE YOUR REACTION TO THIS.

I find this whole scenario hilarious. Don't look for blog posts about it though, it'll just make you sad. orz

Anyway I miss you~

From: [identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com

Oh fuck I am so excited. I, uh, won't go looking for blog posts if you give me a vague summary of what would make me sad. Are they complaining about fat ugly fangirls and Real Women with their disgusting free will intruding on their happy boy-centered fantasy? Yeeeeah, guys, you know, this is why you don't get these luscious, American-grown, 100% natural boobs. (ಠ_ಠ) そもそも一年以上前からやってて、女性キャラを恋愛対象と思っていなくても興味を持っている子がいる私は最近im@sに興味を持ちはじめた女性ファンの上に立てる…ちがう? ちがうかな。

I MISSED YOU TOO. We should discuss things in LJ? I'll comment on you and you comment on a post I will write about my life and we will talk much? \o/

Honestly it seems mostly like people are jealous that their virtual girlfriends may have virtual boyfriends now. There are photoshops of one of the Jupiter guys hugging a female character. This is a slap in the face! IdolM@ster isn't the same anymore! My pure innocent garden has been violated! etc etc etc Plus there are conspiracy theories that Namco wants to port it to PS3 and market it to fujoshis there...

The whole dustup is just embarassing, honestly. Iori* is not your wife. She was never your wife. She is a fictional character. Her voice actress is also not your wife. GET OVER IT.

*I saw people mention this name a lot

That sounds good!

From: [identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com

LMAO. Yeah, how will they ever recover from the shock of having only 6 women in their imaginary harems instead of 9?! (give or take) As someone who feels comfortable thinking of certain idolm@ster girls as daughter simulations, I want them to land up with nice guys! I very much support the idea of Jupiter getting らぶらぶ with 765Pro!

My other worry came a little bit later when I remembered that oh yeah, if you get a boy band together to get women interested, you'll probably get gay doujinshi with them and that would really upset some people. Or maybe they'll start complaining that all these ugly fat smelly women are in love with characters who are far too beautiful for them...and it's okay for men to any of the above why? etc. Ahh. I should take a break. :|

With the way Namco behaved with Tales of Graces, I have found the infinite, unmovable patience to buckle down and wait for a PS3 version. Maybe this means it'll be split into two games for fujoshi and fanboys? I'd rather like to play with the girls too, though.

I miss my 'quiet' icon

Sigh. Why do people get so upset about video games. I can understand getting mad that Namco removed some characters (maybe they couldn't get the voice actors for the whole game or maybe they're saving them for DLC, whatever) but some people sound seriously unhinged. :/ Jupiter are the bad guys! You're supposed to beat them! So stop freaking out that they look like hosts!

I'm also kind of sad that people are upset that the next Haruka has different voice actors.. I mean there are 3 games and Lord knows how many spinoffs and CDs and anime episodes and stage shows with the same VA, let them have a break. I like the new seiyuu (that I recognize, yay for Shimono Hiro!) and the new designs are nice too.

I'm going to ignore the hullabaloo and look forward to Zero no Kiseki instead (which thankfully has almost no antis on niconico etc so far). Back to translating 70 pages about the construction industry~ (I started doing contract translations, whee) What's new with you?

Re: I miss my 'quiet' icon

Well, it certainly must be said that I have complained bitterly about the screwed up preaching in Tales games, but that's because I think that when you tell the minority group and victims of oppression that they aren't trying enough, that is actually truly offensive and linked to issues that affect people in the real world...? FORGIVE ME? T_T

I wonder if they removed characters because it was just too much for the XBOX360, and we should all be suspecting a solution for a different platform >_> Screw these people, they're gonna buy the game anyway.

Oh, wow, they really need to be allowed to bring in some new people once in a while. I think it's nice that they kept the same voice actors for Haruka 1 and 2 but after that, I mean...the characters aren't even that much alike D: And what if you weren't crazy about an old voice actor? Or the new ones turn out to be really incredible? Guys...

I'm, like, my brain is made of dancing Dean idolm@ster right now. But I am well. I'm going to Cape Cod this week! Also I ordered 90 Umai-bou from Japan and learned why they are not sold in the US (extremely unprofitable). That translation doesn't sound so bad, just kinda boring. Nobody yells at you for that stuff?

From: [identity profile] narugami.livejournal.com

Re: I miss my 'quiet' icon

I'm sorry, I phrased that badly. :( It's more like you're using the game as a platform to talk about serious issues which is completely legitimate. People use books and TV shows to critique social attitudes all the time, games are no different! I meant more like the angry guy who snapped his disc in half and set his 360 on fire when he heard Vesperia was getting ported to the PS3. That's just a temper tantrum.

Learning how to safely bring down a tree with a chainsaw without the tree toppling on my head isn't boring. ;) What's fun about translation is learning about all kinds of things I would have no clue about otherwise so I like it. They haven't given me any feedback yet so no yelling. Hopefully with this contract work thing I can avoid any further issues about religious holidays orz.

Oh, are you going on vacation? Have fun! What are umai-bou?

Re: I miss my 'quiet' icon

Oh cool you're so nice and smart <333

That is valuable information. :x That sounds interesting and not very torturous.

Thank you! I'll be around to comment and things, it's only for three days anyway. But the beach is like a block away so I'm going to walk down a lot if I can.

Umai-bou are like 5-inch-long cylinders of puffed corn. The texture is definitely that of cheese doodles/curls, but they come in a whole bunch of different flavors. They are individually wrapped and in Japan they're sold for around 10 yen. Since I got these in bulk I paid less, but THEN the bags of 30 apiece are actually kinda heavy and they're not small, so between that and some other junk food I paid a really obscene amount for shipping ;_; If they sold that stuff here they'd have to do it for a 1000% markup or something, and, yeah :/ The common junk food in this box is so-so but I got some pretty nice curry senbei and the chinsukou are just glorious...!

Re: I miss my 'quiet' icon

Not any more than you :P I wrote a ranty post about this in the end (summary: people are crazy and I need to stop reading Hachima Blog already.)

Ooh, that sounds nice! I love the ocean, I can sit and watch it for hours :)

That sounds pretty neat. It must be hard to get your fix if there are no Japanese markets nearby.

From: [identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com

Re: I miss my 'quiet' icon

There are actually two okay ones nearby and two awesome ones 90 minutes away. I have been visiting the one that specializes in Japanese food regularly for upwards of 5 years and they never sold umai-bou because even if they imported them they'd have to sell them for way, way too much ORZ I dunno about the chinsukou though. They're Okinawan shortbread and they look sellable enough to me. ._.

The ocean is okay but when we went to a different place by the ocean last summer it was mostly hot with noisy neighbors 83 I'm getting spoiled by living in the mountains...

Here's what I remember about Hachima: when idolm@ster 2 was announced I sat around reading it and learned SO MUCH VOCAB for Japanese console wars.

XBOX people: HAHA WE GOT IDOLM@STER DON'T EVEN PRETEND LIKE YOU DON'T CARE LOLOLOL
PS3 people: LOL your game looks like shit have fun paying for it
Like everybody else: HOLY SHIT MAKOTO IS SO HOT THIS TIME

They did that for like 1000 comments. It, uh, was not a good way to spend my time and probably you shouldn't read it either 8D

From: [identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com

OMG YOU GUYS HAHAHAHAHA. u mad bro? ppppppffff

I can't believe the Amazon reviews though. Holy shit, where do they get off rating games before they even come out? This has been happening for years and it's never been stopped ._.;

From: [identity profile] narugami.livejournal.com

Angry 2channers did that for DQ9 too. Then it actually came out and it's one of the best-selling games ever and has a huge fan following.

Basically I think people should ignore 2ch >_>

From: [identity profile] krypt-orchid.livejournal.com

I can totall see your point. I am disappoint. I guess the hardcore fanbase just ... rolls that way, as pathetic as they may appear. Especially the punched-in walls and the cut up CDs are like ... so damn uncool. I mean sheesh you guys, REALLY? :/ :\

From: [identity profile] moumusu.livejournal.com

How do they play with Iori if they killed their CD? (′゜ω゜‘) They go and buy another copy, that's how!
