I thought I'd put my SUBSCRIPTION TRA LA LA to Ribon to good use and put up some summaries of what's happening lately. :D Note that if you can find translations somewhere else, those are probably better. I just need to put these up to show that I think they're being nice to Meroko in the manga XD
It goes without saying that there is nothing but sweet, sweet spoilers here, and some will make you jump. Read at your own discretion. Do not bitch me out if you see something that ruins it all for you.
Wakaouji finally gets ahold of Mitsuki, in her 12-year-old form, and she wakes up in the hospital with him and Ooshige watching over her, and her GRANDMA is there and oh it's very scary. Wakaouji explains that Mitsuki's waited so long that now even if she has the operation on her throat, she could still die because the cancer might have started spreading. T_T Then grandma finally makes nice with Mitsuki and Mitsuki says she wants to come home and live with her. Later on, Mitsuki is dreaming about a certain bet she made with Eichi back when she first found out she had cancer. She wakes up when Takuto, Meroko, and Izumi drop by. Takuto explains that he's going to the Meikai with Meroko to take Mitsuki's name off the big list of people who are going to die. He promises to come back, and then he starts to give Mitsuki a pendant, but she gets all SAD because she already has a pendant from Eichi. Takuto says she doesn't have to get rid of Eichi's pendant, she can wear both at once T_T He says he wishes she would love him as much as she loves Eichi...then he kisses her and leaves all DRAMATIC-like (it's kinda pretty ^^). Mitsuki then declares to Wakaouji that she's going to have the operation, even though she'll lose her voice and she might die. She now wants very much to live.
The next day Ooshige is asking Mitsuki all the scary questions like HOW DID YOU DO THAT DID YOU DYE YOUR HAIR etc. etc. and Mitsuki's making up all these excuses that everyone is magically more or less accepting. =_= Mitsuki thinks they're just a riot and accepts her grandma, Mrs. Tanaka, Ooshige, and Wakaouji into her little clan of mori no tomodachi. XDDDD Well, they all go away, and while Mitsuki is alone, Jonathan shows up and taps on the window. Izumi is not far behind, and he's all like, HI, Mitsuki, I need to TALK to you, let's go for a little WALK. DUN DUN DUN.
Meanwhile, Meroko and Takuto are infiltrating the Meikai. The new chapter starts with Meroko thinking that the rain always makes her lonely, and she wonders how long it will be before someone stays with her for her sake. Back to Takuto and Meroko---Takuto says they have to erase Mitsuki's name from the Master's list in order to change all the lists the other shinigami have, and they'll even just steal the whole thing if they have to.
Meanwhile, Izumi acting strange and pulling along Mitsuki pretty roughly for a kid who's got cancer. Izumi suggests they FLY.
Meroko and Takuto have tricked the rent-a-guards at the palace, and Meroko is walking around looking for the death list. She's still kind of lonely...right before she left for the Meikai with Takuto, they talked it over, and Takuto really wants to do it because he can and Eichi can't. =_= But that leaves Meroko to be his buddy, and she's kind of upset because she's helping Takuto, instead of him helping her.
Meroko finally finds the Master's...chamber, I guess. She notices a crystal ball with some kind of recording on it, and it surprises her, so she goes over and checks it out, thinking the girl in the recording looks a little like Mitsuki. A woman there interrupts her, and says it's the first human she talked to after becoming a Shinigami, Rain. (Lain? Damned if I know.) Meroko recognizes the woman as the Death Master, rar!
Back to Izumi and Mitsuki---Izumi is flying, and carrying Mitsuki, who is asking her to take her home. He says his soul is clouded because of her, and then he DROPS her, but only into a kind of...box made out of magic in the air. Jonathan shows up, and then he starts to...bulge x_X
The Death Master tells Meroko that it was all a trap that Meroko and Takuto's boss, Sheldon, planned out. It turns out Jonathan was Sheldon in disguise, and Sheldon is a...WONDERFUL...long-haired...EVIL specimen of thehuman shinigami male. And he plans to take Mitsuki's soul. T_T
The Death Master says even she can't change the death list, so she lets Meroko go, "Because I'm a Grim Reaper, too." As she escapes, Meroko explains to Takuto that Sheldon went to Earth himself to take Mitsuki's soul, and he was probably using Izumi, too. They reach the huge gate outside the castle, and suddenly they notice a swarm of...flyin' things! :D coming after them. The Death Master didn't get enough time to alert the rent-a-guards, so now they're after Takuto and Meroko for trying to leave without permission. Meroko grabs Takuto, tosses him outside the gate, and says she'll hold back the guards that are coming after them. Takuto attemps to bitch her out, but it's no good---she begs him to stop Izumi, because she DOES love him, and not to let Mitsuki die, because she is their guiding light. She doesn't want to give herself up, but she can't go back to only caring about her own feelings, so she turns around and faces the horde just as they start to fire a...LOT of arrows at her. But Takuto jumps in front of her and protects her, so it's clear he plans to help her out. :D Meroko breaks down because Takuto has always been SO nice to her when she chases him around, even though she really loves Izumi. They decide to fight their way out and go home together, no matter what---and now they're finally going to be free! :D
Meroko thinks to herself, "The rain is still pounding down...but I'm not alone."
*spasms* MEROKO WE LUFF YOU XB Next time: Izumi, Mitsuki glowing in the dark, and a concert :D Here's hoping sleep will keep me from feeling all shitty and lazy and not putting it up.
