Should I buy an acrylic jewel and make the wings on her pin myself? That would be cheaper, but I have no idea what I'll make the wings out of. I'm not using the plastic sheets again, foam is too soft, and any kind of clay I can think of would break in a matter of minutes. The other option is doing a resin cast for it, but if I have any leftover crap, I'm probably never going to use it. ...depends on how hard it'll be to make something that looks good. Making the armor on my costume last year gave me a lot of confidence in my ability to craft shit, so now I think I can do it again. If I start early, I can mess up and still have some leeway.

And just a reminder, I watch OC, I like it, and the season finale is on tonight, so I'm feeling a little ANTSY. If you would like to enjoy the Ryan (played by Benjamin Mckenzie), now's your last chance before summer reruns. He's very cute and he lives in the same house as Seth, who is also cute, and they seem to hang out together a lot.

Maybe you understand how I feel about that.

EDIT: So I live in a place where gay marriage will be legal in a week or two. Lately, I have actually been thinking to myself, DAILY, 'I live in a place where gay marriage will be legal in a week or two.' I'm getting a little tired of having to contain the urge to celebrate. Should I wait until it actually happens, or just do a little bit every day? Maybe I should do something artistic. ...yeah, without the materials. Ha.

I had fish for dinner. You know how some kids can put a needle through the first layer or so of their skin, maybe on their fingers, and make it stick there, and it looks disgusting? I think that happened with one of the bones, from the fish, and my tongue. Like, when I tried to pull on it, it hurt and my tongue moved a little. Then when I switched angles it came out.

It was good fish, I'm just saying.

YES. I'm making my list of crap I'll need to make her costume. The hard parts are mostly that pin (...and it doesn't even really HAVE to be a pin...) and her skirt.

I dunno what you're gonna do to put together your costume, but if you need a sewing machine, I think we now have one that works XB

*thinks OMG NO MORE HAND-SEWING THERE IS A GOD*

...A sewing machine might be nice :D.

The skirt shouldn't be hard--all you need is a long, plain white dress and some yellow ribbon for the trim...
